@ChibiChanSan101 at the end of the original fairy tale of the little mermaid (hans christian andersen), the prince falls in love with another woman, and so the little mermaid is doomed to turn into seafoam, unless she kills the other woman with an enchanted dagger. however, out of her love for the prince, the little mermaid lets the other woman live and turns into seafoam.
