Haha this is funny. The airport is like 1 big empty parking spot and the tower has like 1 employee and thats on a volunteer basis :-)

it has the tallest runway in sudan ( 4000 km ) and that was the basic opening

the one being built between kassala and gdareff is said to be bigger 3 runways, becuse of trades with countries such as ethiopia and eretria. oil boom is being spent well.

nah.. it's only a small civil airport, and it's at a place called Marawy, North of Sudan... which is basically known for it's pyramids.. so this airport is aimed to enhance tourism there as well as many other sectors
