  • Thanks for sharing your great journey..

  • Often thought about working for the VA. My son was EOD in Iraq and Afghanistan. I work trauma (OTR/L) in Oregon and have lots of job satisfaction but what you are doing.....man...thank you for doing this wonderful work with the best our country has.

  • I remember this video from my Phase II assignment. I also saw the article in AOTA featuring you. Way to go sir! Keep up the great work!

  • omg i was so thinking about being a p.t. in the military thanx for the vid

  • Awesome video!! I'm applying to OT school now. Doing things backwards compared to you. Joined the Army, deployed to Iraq, graduated and now crossing my fingers to get into OT school! I've became very interested in OT after seeing what you guys were doing for the soldiers returning from deployments. AMAZING! Thank you so much!

  • Awesome Awesome Awesome!! :-D I am currently a first year student in the OTD program at University of Toledo. I'm considering completing one of my level 2 fieldwork experiences at a Air Force base (since my bf is is the AF). I just think it would be an amazing and rewarding experience!!!

  • I'm nurse who is enrolling to study OT next year. Your video is really inspirational. Do you have to be in the military to work at Walter Reed?

  • Rock on man!!!! This is such a great video... I love the leisure activities with the gun... I am a 2nd year OT student and I got a good friend in my class that wants to do OT in the army... we need more in the special forces... keep rockin on

  • Wonderful song first of all and congrats!! thank you for the video I'm studying to become a COTA eventually thank you for the inspiration

  • I am heading to graduate school soon and would like to head to the army afterwards. However, I have heard the OT internship has been discontinued. Any advice?

  • I am currently in OT graduate school and plan to go into the army. I found out, like you said, the army is not accepting any master level students but they know have a DScOT program. It is basically a Doctor of Science in Occupational Therapy program that you would have to join once you are licensed as a therapist. It is 18 months long in San Antonio TX and upon completing I am assuming you will receive a OTD. Check the goarmy website to contact a medical corps personnel

  • Great video!! I am currently in school in Georgia to be an OTA and I really enjoyed this clip. Love how you show the whole journey. It shows how much you care about your profession and your patients! Thanks

  • Amazing!!!

I'm shortly going to start OT training as a civvie in the UK. At some point I will have an elective placement. I was thinking it would be great to do something with the military! Nice one!

  • I have been playing around with the idea to go back to school... your video has helped me make the decision to do it! (even at age 38). It was very moving.

  • I was so touched and impressed by your video. I am also an OTR/L and just wanted to say thanks for taking us through an incredible journey.

  • Hello,

Great video! Every good OT should know about this special (computer) keyboard (called: Lucy) I have cp myself and made a video about it. I operate with a laser mounted on my glasses, I'm able to do so very much because of Lucy. I'd like to let as many people as possible know about it, so more people can benefit from this great keyboard. And maybe you have one patient who might be able to use Lucy. As I always say: If you can't use your hands, be smart, use your head!

  • awesome video!

  • As a recent OT grad I guess it never occurred to me that you could do an OT internship in the Army- I'm sure that was quite the experience...very touching video (tear).

  • Hey there. Amazing video. I'm a fairly recently qualified Irish OT in the UK and the military isn't one of the areas of work that is often mentioned. It's always appealed to me though and your video has been a bit of an inspiration! Well done!

  • Man, that was awesome!!!! Makes me so grateful to be in the rehab industry. - RQ, PT

  • Hi I'm a Brit Male OT Manager with a Military background. I'm also back in Air Force reserve. Just caught the vid. Pretty professional looking. We got OT awareness week coming up in UK later in the year. It might be a coup to hook up with you folks. Anyhow-good video, cheered me up seeing the Mighty Manchester United just got beat by Milan-Des

  • Absolutely Amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your journey to become an OT and the amazing experiences!

  • wow, thanks for this video, I'm jsut graduating form OT school and was considering the army

  • Hi. Great Video!! As a future OT myself I found this video really inspiring and makes me proud of my career choice. It's a great job you are doing there.
