i had an cat that could do that,

just lift them up so they grab the hinge while they are young.

they will connect the dots.

Yet i wasnt happy too see my front door wide open.. :(

I wanna record my cat do it as well. Sometimes he scares the crap out of me. He normally does it at night to come in the bedroom. Usually it takes him once or twice before he get's it open. He used to just jump on the handle but has since learned to reach with both paws. =O)
