  • i love it mate, was u using a capo ? it was spot on. start off on G ?

  • He's using a capo, but his guitar is tuned way down below standard E. Probably around C or B, like Jim said below. He's using a capo to raise the pitch a bit since Searching the Desert for the Blue wasn't played that low in the original recording. The first chord of the song is E and it runs on the 8-bar blues chord progression.

  • Hi, been playing this for years, but only really correctly since I got my Ralph Bown 12 string, it's down to "B" below "E" just like McTell.
