  • how old is the 737? And is that a female pilot?

  • This must of been filmed with one of those new fandangled potatos that everyone keeps talking about.

  • old 737 classic!

  • Those wipers!!! Do all planes have these fitted?

  • @freshairlady no not all planes are fitted with these

  • i have better videos

  • Man those are some epileptic wipers ..

  • @Daxman1984 ouch I laughed at those wipers until my side hurts

  • good pilot job!

  • No crosswinds that I could see, he was flying a straight approch, no crabing

  • @cptK737 You can actually see what his feet were doing with the rudder pedals? Can you see the turn coordinator item in that panel from this video?

  • cant see a thing lol

  • Real Shit

  • scary!!

  • tak tomuto hovorim, kvalitne odvedena praca.klobuk dole.respect

  • Very interesting Video, the pilot seems cool.

  • طيارين جيدين جدا جدا جدا

  • the force is strong with these pilots

  • i pray never to be a wiper one day

  • i love seeing this mann great video

  • Nice Landing! Calm professionals. If I have to be the passenger, these are the pilots I want to be flying with.

  • thats not a 737 :D

  • @MullingerLP YES IT IS

  • @MullingerLP

    It is a 737-400.

  • @Alperakbilgi It is a Boeing 737-200.

  • @OzarkNavigator

Yes, you're right. I just realised that. 737-400's ADI isn't that big.

  • @OzarkNavigator Thats not a 737-200... Its either -300/-400 or -500.. You can easily see that on the Autopilot... Search for it on google and you will see...

  • Do not mess with my country. xd

  • 0:39 If the captain after that sound would go balisitc i sure as hell would to because that didnt sound right..

  • @dtiydr He is turning of the auto-pilot. That's why it make sound like this!:)

  • @Pattii99 That explaned why he was calm. :) Didnt knew they would go autopilot that close to landing, cool.

  • @dtiydr

the autopilot could land the plane, but not in severe wind conditions.

  • Those wipers are on steroids and a huge doze of caffeine

  • why does this plane sound like my grandpa's pick up truck??

  • Damn....that wipers are amazing.....I must have

  • @martinbriley i dont see anything the camera is just 10% blame thats what makes this vid and pilots interesting

  • the most funnest thin is the wipers

  • Wondering why captain did not land the aircraft himself in such bad weather?

  • @CYTL1960 Because First Officers are just as qualified!

  • @CYTL1960 Gotta learn somehow.

  • i like that you cant see shit out of the window

  • As a a pilot I would be annoyed that the wipers aren't moving simultaneously.

  • wipers are on crack!!!

  • those wipers are really going

  • @vtech50 hahaa They take their job seriously...

  • @vtech50 wipers on cocaine

  • Wow he was REALLY fighting the plane

  • crikey! that was some rough weather, dude! (cute co-pilot, btw...)!

  • Yhhhaaaaaaahhhh .... great balls of fire!!!!

  • Excellent landing!

  • Landing is usually the most fun and best challenge to me!

  • @SparkyRanger Crosswind landing are awesome but military know more challenges like close formation flight, air refueling and carrier landing !

  • Pilot to Co-Pilot... "HOLY SHIT!!! just kidding"

  • whats the point if we cant even see through the windshield dude? sorry but thats just my opinion, otherwise gotta love the older cockpits.

  • Portugal is really difficult for Pilots.

  • but it was little hard ... wasnt it?? I know, the weather was crazy ... but ? :) i know, f...ng stickler for details :D

  • damn it..... those pilots have balls :S

  • A class pilots

  • Thats it SUPER JOB A GREAT LANDING !

  • Wipers had 3 Red Bull each. Then they had some crack.

  • IIRC, the wipers are driven by pneumatic motors on the bleed air system on 737s, so in a sense, they are connected to the engines. You want them going that fast though... remember how fast the airplane is going.

  • woow :)

  • shit

  • Super job First Officer!

  • wipers going crazy lol

  • Are the wipers really necessary?:/ They would any the crap out of me floping back and fourth. click-clack,click-clack,click-clack,click-clack..........

  • Were the windshield wipers on high? My car has two wiper speeds plus variable.

  • the wipers were made by general motors.....

  • 1:06 uuuuuh

  • dudes how old are the pilots ??

  • hahahahah funny wipers!!

  • they have to pay attention to more important things than letting go off the controls to shut off the wipers

  • lol and they are the ones who tell us to "switch off all electrical devices" ...

  • One hand on the yoke, couldn't have been that bad! Computer did most of the work, including the compensating for the errors on the flight deck.

  • @akeightley You always have one hand on the yoke. And on a Boeing the computers don't compensate for nothing.

  • pilots look like the guys from college

  • duh they aren't wipers.. they are the engines!

  • this plane have jet motors on its wipers too..

  • When I saw the wipers, I thought the video is sped up like 100 times...

  • süperrr video :)

  • lol the old steam gauges. i was surprised to see them on a continental airlines 737 last year.... you would think they would replace them with an EFIS by now. those things are ancient!

  • i couldn't fly this without getting disoriented from these wipers!!!! insane fast

  • was that a birdstrike at 1:20? every birdstrike video you watch with a turbine engine, makes that same sound as the sound at 1:20. that "puff, puff, puff, puff" sound.

  • @ilovegoatsecks No, that sounds to me, like the nose gear going over the cats-eyes that mark the runway centerline.

  • @Tomosan2888 ahh youre right, i watched it again and listened, and the noise seemed to slow down, as the plane decelerates. thanks for clearing that up for me.

  • RAIN-X

  • they need intermittent wipers

  • Hang on! I thought electrical appliances weren't allowed to be used in flight. And how did you record this? I'm surprised the pilot's let you in the flight deck while landing!

  • 20 people would prefer a boring regular landing

  • Co-pilot freaking SLAMMED the reverse thrust in....LOL

  • Good video. A shame of shaking hand and bad cam.

  • holy crap, those wipers are nuts :D

  • congrats for the awsome landing dudes

  • Silly pilots they had the wipers on Low, geez !!

  • Why does an airplane have two steering wheels?

  • @24adhoc

so each pilot can fly, both fly, but diffrent legs or sectors, the captain could take off fly half, while the FO can fly the other half and land.

  • @24adhoc Redundancy - duplication of critical components of a system with the intention of increasing reliability of the system, usually in the case of a backup or fail-safe.

  • @24adhoc more stability, two sides of the plane (2 wings) common sense really lol

  • Good job by the pilots!!! Thumps up

  • I like aircraft videos...

    I hate camera phones...

  • ROUGH

  • great wipers!!!

  • funny how this video is about the plane in strong wind, and every one is talking about the wipers on drugs

  • Super crew metropolitan str 1964

  • LOL at the wipers they are going like "Yepeee! Yepeeee!"

  • copilot, set wipers to intermittent ludicrous. Thank you.

  • Captain landing and taking off is old. Although boeing has kept this configuration for a long time It is up to the airlines procedure if this is allowed!

  • Thats some fast fast wipers

  • Geez that is scary! They can't see a damn thing!

  • Thank you! Nice clip!

  • The wipers look like they would flop off.

  • wts with the vipers. .they seem to have a mind of their own. .lol

  • esse transa....haha

  • those wipers r like the speed of light

  • @jordan4541 stressing whipers

  • Those are some hysterical wipers !

  • Good job guys

  • All that technology and such shit windscreen wipers?

  • Why no ils landing?

  • Must be the best job in the world....pilot.

  • Right at the end the First officer's body language is classic. Looks to me like "damn that sucked, I need a beer now"

  • when such a bad weather normaly the captain lands... or not?

  • the captain is the pilot in comand is responsable for the safety of the flight, in these airplanes there is a pilot flying and a pilot monitoring either captain or First officer can be PF or PM. The pilot Flying only flies the airplane the pilot monitoring do the comunications take the emergencies take the flight plan. by the way nice landing. when the runway is wet you have to perform a positive land literaly smash the plane into the runway in order to break the water layer in the runway

  • Who understands about flying ann aircraft can see that first officer is the one Landingas PF (pilot flying), and by the way the ILS doesn't land the aircraft, and for who doesn't know ILS means ( Instrument Landing System )

  • ILS

  • That Looked like an ILS Landing..1st officer just controlled throttles...

  • @sneaky768

So I guess the yoke and his right hand were doing a dance all by themselves ????

Not likely. He had some serious winds to deal with.

  • Looked like the wipers were hooked to the engines...LOL

  • Bad conditions and the right seat is driving the bus.....Captain has total confidence in his 1st officer!!! Well done 1st officer!

  • In most cases the first officer always lands.

  • it likes us driving in the rain in our cars....

Pilots are that good that its just another day in the office.

  • it amazes me how relaxed their are in that total chaotic moement

  • @1037pm would you want any one else flying if you were in the aircraft? ;)

  • what a strange windshield whipers

  • Great Cocpit!

  • Can't see sh!t out da window...totally unhappy...

  • @HappySCVResident how do you think they felt?

  • lol those pilots r so cool and casual during this. its like, HEY JIM LETS GO GET A BEER AFTER THIS

  • he pushed the wrong button I saw!:P:) good video

  • you would think thay would have better windsheld wipers then that lol

  • This was actually a B737-300 Non Efis. A version of the B737 converted into Cargo airplane. The company was called Flyant. From the recently extinguished Futura, Spain. Hope you like the video.rgds

  • @bram340 i remember when i was cool......then i turned 5

  • 737-200

  • That's a 737 classic ?! No ND ! When was that ?

  • i think those wipers had too many red bulls! :P

  • LOL. "MUST KEEP WIPING!"

  • @markuks hahaha nice

  • them window wipers are going for it !

  • wow :O

  • please turn off all electronic devices while taking off and landing.. lol

  • Fantastic video 5*

One hard landing and look at them wipers go

  • Even those bad conditions she was landed by the co-pilot with a quiet relaxed commander checking configurations.

  • touchdown

  • cosnegues ouvir, 100..., 30, 20, 10 akele barulho é touchdown..

    fika

  • I need whipers like that on my car haha

  • What that an autolanding? They didn't have their hands on the yoke from what I could tell.

  • No, the co-pilot is landing. His left hand is on the throttles, and the right hand which you can not see is on the yoke. Also, at 0:42 you can hear the autopilot alarm sound, as the co-pilot disengaged the autopilot.

  • at around 0:44 you can hear the A/P disconnect ;-)

  • @Caellest89 no that's the inner marker!

  • @assailant85 you were right, it's both ;)

  • @assailant85 no it's not the inner marker. It's the autopilot disconnecting. watch?v=eROvM02HpJY

  • @assailant85 let me get back onto that, because I hear the inner marker at 0:46. The autopilot is disconnected at 0:42

  • those r fast windshield wipers

  • great, smooth landing for those conditions!

  • Good jobb!!!

  • May also be worth adding that the captain has overall responsibily as long as his decisions coincide with group decisions ie if it is deemed by the crew that the captain has made a bad call then its the 1st officers or whoever is co pilot,s job to challenge if he believes to be incorrect, all part of the shell model. Software,Hardware,Environment,Liveware, oops cant remember the other one?

  • can someone explain, i thought the captain was the only one to take off and land the plane!?

  • On every airplane required to be operated by 2 pilots, both have exacly the same funtion, the only diference is that the captain has the overall responsability, normally duties are divided in 2, Pilot flying and pilot monitoring, swaping in every sector or leg flown.Flying pilot flies and requests and monitor has the comunications and does what the flying pilot asks for. By the way, landing is only 5% of thew whole flight...the most challenging part of flying is the management of it...rgds

  • @bram340

Actually the most challenging part is landing the Aircraft. This is when the cockpit is the most busy. Both Pilots co-ordinate to land the plane. This was an ILS approach to the numbers as they call it, but he most likely flew to the runway manually due to extreme conditions on a visual approach once the airport was in sight.

  • @bram340 The captain and the co-pilot switch for every take-off and landing.

  • @bram340 thanks for that :-)

  • It is misleading to say that they have exactly the same function...they do not. They both, of course, can fly the airplane, but, for example, a "captain of a ship" does not have the "same function" as the first mate.

  • Well in some cases only the captain is allowed to land..

  • @madeira69 guess not ^^

  • @madeira69 dno if some 1 already replied but the co-pilot lands and takes off now, and the captain makes sure everything is correct as he is most expirienced

  • @madeira69 So how would the second officer land the plane if something happend to the captain if he has never landed it

  • @jdhiner1 dont worry, bram340 has already explained perfectly 2 years ago, thanks anyway!!

  • @madeira69 no the co pilot can also do that but befor they fly the captian will desied who will land and who will take off

  • Nice :)

  • those windshield wipers are moving fast
