I too had street tires on but I did remove my exhaust for this day. I didn't see much of a difference though, maybe 0.05 or so. Are you running pump gas landonvieth? I switched to E85 and I'm pretty close to the correct tune. What does your car weigh?
@buickpower420 89.5 pump gas, race weight with me in it was 3100 lbs. My car isn't set up for the strip. It has a t56 6 speed manual tranny and 4.10 gears with 25" tall tires. I have to shift into 5th gear in the 1/4 mile. That is a lot of shifting. I'm not making excuses for my car , just telling you what it is. I am happy with it. There just aren't too many street cars out there that run 10s in street trim. I want to get some tuning time on the dyno before I make any more passes.
@buickpower420 you are correct you beat me by 0.023 seconds and your trap was at 126 mph while mine was 133 mph. I made my pass in street trim with street tires and exhaust.
If you had to build a v8 miata all over again would you use a LS1 or something different?
