do thoe lambo doors make it harder to get out of the car? im 6ft tall and it looks like i would hit my head on them i wanted to ask someone before i buy a kit
the kit was somewhere around 2200 not installed, but you can get them cheaper, these have powered actuators, the heavy duty hinge kit, remote door poppers, etc. But manual lambos are alot less exspensive. Don't remember the labor, but it was expensive.
Hey sweet stang I have a 2001 Cobra SVT Convertible and I wanna put lambo doors on but I was wondering if you had to extend all the wires in the door for this kit? also how much was the kit?

How tough were they to install? I have some experience with body work and mechanics work so I am thinking I might try it out myself. Looks realy wicked on your car btw. And Did it come with the wire to extend the wires in the door? And did you get that kit online? If so where?
I had a body shop do them. If you have patients and are mechanically inclined and have the tools you might be ok. doesn't come with the extra wire for the doors. I think word of advice don't do power do manual. Got the kit from AutoLoc can find them on line. their tech support isn't the best that's for sure.
It actually takes 30 seconds, I think someone told me that you can adjust the speed, but I just never took the time to look. I'm ok with them the way they are. You can remove the power actuator and use them i believe like manual lambos also. What most people like is that when they come back down the doors actually close, not like manual lambo doors where you have to close them.
Ehh Im probably gonna end up getting the manuals anyway. Less shit to deal with as far as wiring and batteries etc. The only downfall would be that I can't lift both up at the same time if Im showing off but I'll take my $900 extra and port my blower :D My car is flashy enough I suppose.
