I used to work for Sams Member service. Sam's Club has great policies in place, the problem is NO ONE FOLLOWS THEM. Club level corruption is ridiculous.

This year Sam's charged my credit account (GE Money Bank) which is tied to my membership card when I explicitly swiped my debit card and followed the correct directions on the key pad. I used to be a cashier so I know how the card pads work, the check out cashier was inept though.

I have had similar issues with my Sams Club card as well. They closed my credit account while I was abroad. I tried making the payments(there were two) twice while away but, their site was down everytime I tried to make a payment. I also tried making it by phone but, had to cut the calls short before I was actually able to make the payment on account of the astronomical long distance fees. I tried to pay when I got back home but, they suspended payments by web because I was late two months.

I then called Sams Credit to pay off the card completely. I was informed that I could pay the ard but, should know that my line of credit was suspended indefinately. I had never been late, not once in the 5 years that I had owned the card. Nor, had I ever gone over the limit. I was & still am quite pissed.

I work at wal-mart, and my mother works at sams club. Wal-mart is by far the WORST ran company i have ever worked for. They have stolen some of my hours off my check several times, and have shitty ass managers; i could go on for hours on how many things they have done. that place is a joke.

they also checdk your credit monthly to see how your doing with your other debts.

if your falling behind on other accounts they will see that and protect them selfs and lower your limit.

In this case id ask for a supervisor because this guy has no clue as to whats going on, clearly the system is broke in 2 ways, 1for calling on a current account to collect and 2 lowering your limit for no reason, the only real reason (most) credit cards are lowering credit limits are due do to something els that is affecting your FICO score, iether way they are required to provide you written documintation on why they are lowering your balance,.

i work at sams club and i work at the service desk so i call ge credit center practically ever day i work so i know its wrong but lets not be getting mad at the associates because its not our fault its all GE credit center

I've had the same experience with Sam's. Without prior notice, they lowered my credit limit. Even though I have always been current and sent in much more than minimum payments. Then would automatically deduct the membership fee without consultation. I had not even shopped at Sam's in close to a year, for the same reason. This posting has been useful for me to understand that this is something that did not just happen to me, but is happening to many good consumers.

This video doesn't make sense. I work at a Sams Club in Missouri and I worked at the membership desk for over eight months. Sams Club DOES NOT handle the credit. GE MONEY BANK handles the credit. They NEVER answer as Sams Club Credit. This videos has to be false. The only thing Sams Club does with your credit is APPLY you for it. GE MONEY BANK handles the approval process and all other aspects of the credit. THis video is false because GE MONEY BANK also does Wal Mart so why answe as SC?

my last sams club credit card bill had a due date 5 days earlier than my usual due date. called # on bill & they told me it was due to the # of days in the billing cycle. what month in which calendar is 5 days shorter than any other month ? they tried to charge me $29 for a late fee...but took it off as a "one time favor" ...nice...i was so mad i could have spit nails, and have used the sams club credit card for the last time.

This was very interesting to know that companies can lower your credit limit in order to collect extra fees, should their interest charges push your credit balance over the limit. I appreciate this person bringing that fact to the forefront and letting the public know about this scam. I'm so sorry to hear that SAM'S CLUB would be one of the ones to lower themselves to this type of money collecting.
