What propels the fuel in your model? I can tell how you made the nozzle assembly, and the PVC pipe is the fuel cache, and it seems a thin hose is running from that off screen. Is it a bicycle pump or something? Ragnar benson has instructions on a good version, but unfortunately in all models like his, I cannot for the life of me figure out the propulsion device.

@panzuman Putting the valve on the tank was just a series of adapters (ask your local hardware store attendant ) and the gun is just some steel pipe fittings with a propane torch as a pilot lite... (just make it to whatever you feel comfortable with)

@MrAgilwibowo If you pump the tank with compressed air, then it seems like it could leak back in, but (probably) depending on the PSI, it would move too fast for the fire to do that. Just DON'T put the gun TOO close to the flame.

@MrAgilwibowo Flame will only walk back into the tank once the pressure drops too low, as long as you stop using it while the pressure is still high enough to propel the flames at least 10 feet. If you continue to use it with lower and lower pressure, you risk flashback. Of course, your propellant should be an inert gas such as CO2 or Nitrogen, mixing air with alcohol and introducing a pilot light is a BAD FUCKING IDEA.

as is there no air bubble or oxygen in the tank, it will not back flash, and naplm in "goo" form, is not very flamible, they spray it in a flame thrower witch exposes it to more oxygen, if your wonder, you have a propane, theres no oxygen in that tank thats what keeps it from back flashing and blowing the tank up!

sad to say that the first and exact construction of this flamethrower idea was a few years ago around 2007 and the bike pump, ignition lighter, and PVC shape are all the exact same which means you gave no one props or recognition for you to use their idea. i give you credit for successfully making it and that you are still alive. i know this is like me bashing at you but im mostly wondering if you will give the original person for this design or anyone else the chance to be recognized.

The pyro is a fictional fighting class from a game called "Team Fortress 2" (Valve)

I was just curious as to what you used in the valve system and how your tank layout worked.

The trigger if you will . is just a 3/4 ball valve and there is one more on the tank that works as an on/off , one of those one way valves is recommended for safety, but is not necessarily needed (I don't use one) . As far as "tank layout" the tank is just a big rectangle of PVC with the hose coming out the bottom , and a PVC cap on top for filling , and on top of the cap is a valve stem (like on a tire)

You should try using homemade napalm. To make it, dissolve styrofoam (packing peanuts work good) in to the gasoline. The more you dissolve, the thicker it gets. It burns for a while longer than pure gas and is sticky, so it'd be more like a real flamethrower. What do you think?
