I'm sorry to say that, but you really don't know these cars. 2.3-16 and 2.5-16 have limiter at 7000rpm, the EVO 1 does 7200 rpm and only the EVO 2 can reach 8000rpm (redline 8000, gauge up to 9000).

@Robin190E you're right - my mistake. Thought that both generations of 2,5 16v had 9000rpm on the gauge.
