this is bollocks... the kid cannot figure out that standing on the mat prevents the cart from moving but can figure out that it can push it to make it move?
so which one is it ... that the kid doesn't know it'cause things to happen because of it not being aware of itself
or
that it is aware of itself because it knows it can cause an effect on thigs by pushing the cart ?
@pipobun the kid simply doesn't know its part of the problem. It could just be a failure for basic problem solving, but the age threshold of problem solving falls in line with many other studies that suggest that it's not just a failure to notice the mechanics, but a failure to recognize it's self as the key component. From what I understand, I would bet that if it were a big ball on the blanket the kid would push the ball off, only to be stumped when standing on the mat it's self.
Poor kids, already trolled at such a young age

From this, researchers have concluded that it's fun to mess with stupid babies, and if you're conducting an experiment, you can do it guilt free.

@surlysmiles Sadly, yes. I'm kind of clueless sometimes. My mom would have had to have pointed out the cloth to me xD

This show is very facinating. Wish they would bring it back on tv.
