  • Dude you have some nuts to fly over a big patch of water like that, something I'd never do. VERY WELL DONE.

  • Simply awesome!

  • Damn that 550 is a BEAST !!!!

  • Heck of a flight!!!

  • Oh, nice flying man.

  • I question the stock set up? Your saying stock align ESC,600mx motor? 520 or 553 blades. What gear are you running?

  • @foodman3920031 Stock setup is ok with me. The only part I dislike are the Align blades, I find they really waste too much power and bog head speed. Yes Align ESC and 600MX motor, 523 mm main blades. Running standard main gear (I forget tooth count) with 16T pinion. Cheers!

  • @foodman3920031 NICE FLIGHT.. Crazy.. but I like it!

  • You should so make a pov video and I soooo under estimated rc hellis!

  • Hello there and sorry to bother you again. I'm so excited because I am going to get myself a trex 550 very soon this coming January, but I still have a problem considering between the trex 550 and trex 600. Honestly, I prefer the 600 size a lot over the 550 but many people recommended the 550 because it only requires one battery per flight not like the 600 that requires double packs per flight. Since you are experienced in with the Trex, do you have any opinion, recommendation upon my purchase?

  • @BaoThyForever1991 Hey man. I definitely recommend the 550E over the 600, because it only requires one battery pack per flight. It is more affordable and super easy to change the packs between flights. The 600 is aimed more towards very high performance flying, where as the 550 is good all round and an excellent starting base. Cheers and good luck.

  • @cruddbucket Thank you very much. I know what I am going to get now and I will definitely give you an update or even a short video of how I will enjoy my first true flying machine. Thank you.

  • @cruddbucket Hey. Let me add that the 550 is nicer than 600!

  • Thank you for the information :D

  • Amazing! Does all the power that I see come out straight from the stock or did you upgrade or modified anything? Looks very powerful.

  • @BaoThyForever1991 Hello, this is a completely stock helicopter, running at 100% flat throttle curve. What makes the difference is the batteries. I am using Thunderpower 6S 5000mAh 45C packs. They really perform much better than any other battery I own (apart from the newer 65C ones) and are able to maintain the higher voltage under load and more consistently than other manufacturers products. Cheers.

  • What is the camera u use on your vids?

  • @RCBRHelicopteros It varies. I have a few - cycle between GoPro HD, Canon 60D with various lenses and a Sony HDR-AX2000. Cheers

  • @cruddbucket Thanks

  • LOL AT Last , Problem ? :Troll: hahha

  • @gohjiejing Me gusta

  • Hey... Great! Here in Brazil there is a big discussion about 3GX, Micro Beast and Mini V-bar... Between those 3, 3GX is the less loved.... But here it shows the opposite....

  • awesome! Over the water shows confidence!

  • I am sooooo looking forward to build mine :-D

And you totally rock ! Such a nice flying style.

  • @ArguZ69 You will enjoy it! great helicopter :) thanks for your comment!

  • Nice control Luke~! I can do good on the Sim (PheonixRC-V3... however live pressure is much more difficult :) cheers Westy

  • Beautiful flying. Goes great with that back drop. You are getting really good. Thanks for the upload.

  • @redrumm101 No worries thanks for the comment :)

  • nice place to live

  • @madison0348 Yeah it's super nice and serene. I stay with my mate Dan on his houseboat there. Beautiful. And best flying field for sure :D

  • nice. what is your tail gyro % on the radio? or what are your settings on the 3gx software? can you make a video showing how to use the 3gx software for those that we don know how to use it. thanks.

  • @carlocivicsi I can give you my 3GX setup file and you can compare the settings to yours in the meantime if you like?

  • @cruddbucket that would be cool. but like i said b4 i don't know how to deal with the align software i don't know what does what so all i do its set up the dials to 11 o'clock. what position do the dials have to be at when you setup with the software?

i dont understand the terms bell hiller and many other terms used in the software. I've been looking online for a instructional video on the align software but i can't find one.

  • Great flying, and amazing backdrop - can't believe your flying at dusk over water with no canopy - I guess at least if you crash you saved a canopy ;)

  • @jblackmore7 Haha yeah I guess that's one way of looking at it :) it is an amazing back drop to fly against... by far my favorite location to fly. Cheers!

  • Great flying.... Love watching your build vids.....

  • @Jasserv Thanks man glad you enjoy the videos!

  • I've got the perfect camera to mount on this. Check out the new Replay XD1080 at RaceRecall Only 85 grams and 1" diameter.

  • @racerecall Thanks for the info mate, might fit a bit better than the GoPro HD I currently use :)

  • good flying there bud. sorry havent answered earlier .. just finally slowing down here in africa .. were coming to a close here so i will be heading home round feb .. ill send u a some vids of my airstar heli .... shes gorgous ... talk to you soon

    chris

  • @cutter043 That's ok Chris, good to hear from you, definitely send through some videos! cheers

  • Nice flying. looks like 3GX nicely dialed in. I might get one 550E with 3GX align or something better. :) thats nice scenery to fly on but would love to see a crash in lake and a dive to rescue 550E video.

  • @alishanmao If it crashed it would reach a depth of 50+ meters before I could get anywhere near it! I wouldn't even bother getting in the water. I saw your video, did you figure out what went wrong?

  • @cruddbucket that was my point my friend. You skills are dependable but helicopters are not. My KDS550E did tons of flights over water. but on this flight, motor got loose, which should be ok to do an auto but heli just turned / rolled left and I had no control. Possibly a broken servo or servo arm caused it.

  • 1.2 looks solid. Nice work

  • @Captan6pack Yeah it's better, but I did manage to get it to pitch up doing a high speed pass! rage! I also have a slight bobble on stops still but I think I can iron that out

  • have you landed on the divider?

  • @420choky A landing in lake would be more professional :D

  • @420choky lol, nah man I haven't but you've given me the idea now

  • @cruddbucket nice i cant wait . nice flying

  • dang man nice

  • How long have you been flying? The earliest video that I found from you was 3 years ago and that was the dangerous flight video. Even at that time you could fly inverted.

  • @TheBlackKnob I have been flying airplanes since I was about 12, helicopters I started 4 years ago but was out of the hobby for like 2 years. Started back up beginning of this year. Simulator is good for inverted learning

  • simply legendary.. can you do this with the camera mounted on the 550?

  • @holywarsaw Yup 550E can lug a GoPro around no problem!
