And there is Dasey subtext. Maybe you're ignorant to the fact but hey? It's there whether you see it or not. Plus, for two 'siblings' who hate each other so much, they sure spend a lot of time thinking, talking/complaining, or just being around each other. AND if I hated someone as much as they 'hated' each other then I wouldn't touch or revolve my life around them as much as they do. In fact, I would avoid them (even if we lived in the same house). Wow... clearly you have never had to deal with anything close to their situation before. The MacDonald-Venturis live in a pretty small house considering their family size. It's about the same size and layout as mine and I live with only three other people, and even when I am pissed at them and don't want to talk to them for days at a time, I can't avoid running into them. There was this flashback episode and Derek, after meeting Casey when she thought he was Ralph, in a very Derek way "gently" reminded Ralph, who was pretending to be him, that being attracted to a potential step-sibling (and by way of that, step-sibling) was gross.

So I'm not seeing much evidence in the way of a "Dasey" subtext... Especially nothing that warrants doing some clever editing using the season 1 episode with Casey's cousin to create a "Dasey" make-out scene.

Obviously a family show like LWD wouldn't let Derek&Casey get together. The fun about the 'Dasey' fandom is that you don't need them to get together for it to be legit. It's in their glances, touches, the way they treat each other. You have the whole incest argument behind you but they're STEP and that legally constitutes as siblings but that doesn't mean it's morally wrong. What if their parents had never met? It wouldn't have been bad THEN. The law of marriage just came in between.
