I am a musician and i have jammed with many different races of people,We all have differences in ideas and appearance. But music is a universal key for all of us to come together and be a part of something bigger. music, life, and a sense of belonging, long live METAL.
It's not even strange these days for black americans to like or play death metal. The photos from the New York gig of Anaal Nathrakh my friend was in, he's moshing with any number of different ethicity people. We're finnish, a very minority in the world, any descendant of some finns we get up on the space station is good enough for the president to have a talk with them. Just to say hello, here we are, Finland. It's silly. Everybody knows atleast one town in Finland. Nokia. Rubber boots and...
Why is it supposedly normal for whites to like rap and dress and act like black american stereotypes but its supposed to be strange that blacks might like "white music" like metal. That type of thinking is so narrow minded.
i think that celtic frost took themselves too seriously at the time. When you compare the simplicity of morbid tales/ hellhammer with the complexity of into the pandemonium with orchestras and singers, I think that cold lake was like a release for the band, its more light hearted and they appear not to be taking themselves too seriously. Though they could have made themselves very rich if they had released another into the pandemonium album at the time. I'd say that is their big regret.
I saw Celtic Frost in 1987. They opened up for Anthrax and another band played after Celtic Frost. I was one of three blacks in the audience then and I had a ball.
Celtic Frost was at their best with Morbid Tales and To Mega Therion. Somewhere after that things fell apart. Too bad they cant make music like that anymore.
Right on My Friend! I truly believe that NO band has been as powerful, innovative & different as Celtic Frost since Black Sabbath created & mastered the art. Celtic Frost went to the beat of their own drum much like Sabbath & I respect them for that. Always evolving & never afraid of taking risk. I don't like everything that they did but I respect the hell out of them for NOT doing the same thing with EVERY single song/album. It's refreshing in a world full of so much trendy/phony music.
I love how he compares Monotheist to the second coming of Christ hahaha! Can't say I disagree much with that reasoning!

Great vid, thanks! Monotheist is a great artistic statement. A very dark, "out there" work and a nice return to form.

Neither is normal, everyone hates wiggers. People should stick to their own kind!

@khattamshud Fuck you. People can listen to whatever they want, regardless or race. Racist elitism is very un-metal.

i personally feel everyone should stick to there own kind to, but if there is blacks who like metal, then thats fine with me
