  • Give me a BREAK!!!!!!!!!!! Grunge held its own.........It was nothing more than REAL ROCK AND ROLL. THIS>>>>>>>> this is GOOD!!!! JUST LIKE MBV and those that came before. QUIT TRYING TO CATAGORIZE all music. NOT EVERYTHING NEED A GODDAMN LABEL TO be VALIDATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you play an instrument??? can you write your own songs?????? NO? THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!

  • Just sounds and feels good to me; Film School, The Sundays, The Meeting Places, Mazzy Star, my permanent Oceanside soundtrack

  • I can't stop yawning...

  • Shoegazers rule!

  • en la madreee! kienes son estossss que nunca los habia oidoooo??????? O_O Y son de Beg.Ba.

  • I enjoyed the music, no doubt. Sounded like Death Cab for Cutie. I think that the animation scenes when on a bit too long to keep a viewer interested. There's some good shots, I would recommend the use of a tripod. And make a few sequences instead of jumping randomly from clip to clip. Close-ups are key. I'm not a pro, but I enjoy making music videos. So if you had fun its all good, but teak it a bit more. Maybe cut in a few shots where you can see the singer singing. Nice.

  • I want that beard shaved and hair cut and shaped. And put on a nice shirt and tie Mister Film School, Your performing in front of people!!

  • this is Indie.

  • I love this song!!!!!!!!!! It always makes me so sad.

  • This is really good stuff—Im enjoying the video and this awesome song/music... Id buy it!

  • this songs sound can seem lazy to untrained ears but its technically brilliant the way its put together AND its a great song just played on an acoustic guitar, the vibe is sooo emorphus its like melting in honey, moving, beautiful and hell of a lot harder to write than a hard rock song or rap song or dance tune, sounds like when indie was at its best AND INDIE IS THE BEST

  • Unless you're experienced in writing all of the genre's you mentioned then your hardly qualified to comment on there production.

  • I am acctually cheers, but hey why not agrue the arguement. Lyricall though i was wrong, indie bands seem top get away with lyrics that rap doesn't lol only joking

  • not very musically talented, but just listening to the drum and guitar, i'd be incline to agree with you about it be technically brilliant....humble opinion from a novice.

  • whats the title of hte song?

  • Like You Know (the name of the song)... isn't it lovely? It's on iTunes.

  • shoegaze rocks (latu sensu, that is)!

Anyway, I don't believe they shoegaze intentionally nor that they're just depressed. They use these guitar effect pedals you see.

  • This song is fucking amazing and anyone who disagrees can suck my cock

  • dannyhowell: You see, there are these things called genres. People often make music in certain genres, by using styles similar to other artists. Take your anti-Americanisms elsewhere-- you know right well your hairbrained sentiments about "yanks" are fucking irrelevant to any music discussion.

  • In 1991 this is what the British indie scene was all about. It was called 'shoegaze'.

Then the yanks sent over grunge and wiped this scene out completely. In fact, Kurt Cobain called shoegaze bands 'lame ass limey shit'. Shoegaze didn't have any commercial success in the US as you guys were into grunge at the time.

Now, some 18 years later, your sending us shoegaze!

Even the most stupid yank must see some kind of irony at work here.

  • Haha, so true. Grunge was absolutely overrated. A few bands made the genre interesting, but overall grunge had more boundaries than posibilities. Grunge became popular for a while, but it quickly faded away... luckily this never happened to shoegaze, which seem attract more musicians and musicgeeks (like myself) than grunge ever did.

  • So true, but when you truly think about it thats the major flaw in a lot of music genres

  • Heard them on KEXP this morning with a much longer intro.

  • wooooo! KEXP! Best radio station ever!

  • I definitely agree.

  • el soft me genera melancolia

sta melodia kae bien en un atardecer primaveral ...

  • is that J.Labo on bass?

  • Seems like everytime a dead genre comes back, it's reincarnation is terrible. (Punk, Emo)

If Film School sets a trend for new Shoegazers, we might actually have an amazing shoegaze comeback soon.

This is right up there with MBV, as far as I am concerned.

  • You might like Kitchens of distinction - some of their songs are on the tube, e.g. 'elephantine' / '3rd time we opened the capsule'.

  • there are actually a lot of newgaze bands out there right now, you just have to try harder to find them.

  • this song is fucking amazing, their best by far, sounds like early 90's posk rock shoegazing, the guitars sound like a cross between slowdive and big country with jeenage fanclab riff and voice, very british sounding cheers for this

  • this is one of the coolest vids and song i've heard in a while

    really mellows me out

  • Phenominal band....

  • Bringing the ROCK brotha!

  • Bringing the ROCK brotha!

  • I like the drowning guitar sounds with experimental images.
