  • What a beautiful piece of work, congratulations Mr. Shilling on a significant accomplishment. And good for you, doing a few things above and beyond the average plans build.

  • I forwarded your offer to the owner!

  • I will Lick Shine your plane in trade for a couple of hours of right seat time.

  • Hi...

I'm not Dan, just the guy who took the video. You can contact Dan on the Yahoo Bearhawk Group.

  • Dan,

I sure would like to know if you are happy withe the fire wall forward package you chose, what you might change. I am very interested in some performance numbers.

  • @fokkerguy5 Not sure what numbers you are looking for, but here is what I know. Take offs and landings can be accomplished in about 250' if light. Economy cruise at 110 mph, 4300 rpm and 19" manifold burns less than 9 gph. Can cruise faster at around 125 mph. T/O rpm 5000, 28 inches manifold. Cruise rpm 4300 feels real nice and smooth. Weight is comparable to Lyc 0-540. Subaru advertised HP for EG33 is 230. About the only thing I would do differently is use mandrel bent tubing for the intake.

  • Do you have a video of the plane in flight? Would love some flight data bout the setup and info about the plane. Thanks

  • Thanks for the video. Adds inspiration and motivation for my poor attempt at it.

  • I don't get your comment about being 70. The plane is done.

    Paul

  • 3100 hours, seven years you should have it in the air by the time your 70
