    As I added water to the cumin seed with oil.. the cumin seeds got burnt, they turned black and almost the water started popping out of the pan...

  • We generally put an order from the professional catering for any occasion, but after I saw VAHCHEF videos I have tried making jeera rice, Matar Paneer & semiya paysam recipe myself on my nephews Birthday which was on 06/07/2011 and every one appreciated it, as it was yummy and no one was believing that all the items was preprepared by me.

    Thanks for showing such an easy method for preparing various recipes, it increase my confident, that I too can prepare yummy recipes

  • Vah reh, not at all too shabby. I tried some recipe and result was very succulent. I appreciate your advice. Nice to find some middle easterns on the wide web keen on food. Given the quality of food that comes out of that area, middle east, its a sure necessity.

  • @abhilashadubey yes you can make it with any rice, but it just won't taste as nice.

  • @Genevee1 Yes it does but don't cut carbs from your diet altogether, it would be better to use brown rice, as it has more complex carbs, the body breaks these down much more slowly meaning not much energy is wasted and turned into fat, try and stick to whole grain foods.

  • This way teh jeera is becoming soft ,If you need crispy Jeera take a 3/4 cooked rice and then add to it and cook teh remaing 1/4 rice with jeera +other ngredient.that will be more delicious.
