@mrdahgos If you had learned about firing the MAC family of weapons from experience as opposed to airsoft or video games you would know that holding the suppressor is EXACTLY how you do it. It's usually done with gloves or a nomex cover but when you don't have those items you just suck it up and drive on. Thanks for such a well thought out and constructive comment.

@smyers820gm I'm not sure how many MAC 10, 11, or 12s you own or have fired but the reality is that with the course thread pitch and the dynamics of the weapon firing full auto the suppressor loosens quickly. Once it loosens you start getting baffle strikes. MAC owners hold the suppressor to keep this from happening. The original Sonics can came with a cover and Bowers sells a cover for his cans. I've never seen anyone actually use that strap but they sure hold their cans with covers or gloves

@Parabellumklr not trying to stir up toruble but the original mitch werbell III supressor came w/ a patented vent to "bleed" off excess gas and he also had input into the weapons design I believe could be wrong though. But the designer put the strap on and NEVER intended it to be held by the can. Even a nomex cover will melt and catch fire after extensive firing. I promise you that.

That's actually just a few of my toys. I left all of the hunting guns, and most of the handguns and old military stuff at home. I've got stuff from the 1880s up to this year.

Money spent on guns, ammo, optics, etc? Many thousands of dollars but I really don't have a clue. MAC10=$3k, AR50=$3k, AR180=$1k, etc.

The gun you mentioned is actually just a cheap Hi-Point. The suppressor on it is for a sub machine gun. The size is to control the gas volume created by 10+ rounds per second.

I personally like wolf (except for the smell). I've shot THOUSANDS of rounds in both 9mm and 223. The only issue I've had is that it won't feed reliablty through a Beta C-mag in any of my AR15s. Other than that, ZERO problems. With the savings over XM193 or PMC ammo I can replace my barrel on an AR every 4th case or every half a case on the MAC10. If you're serious about burning up some ammo then Wolf is the way to go. I wish they made it for my 50cal. lol

I supplied all the ammo for the day but I don't really know the total cost. 50bmg is $4 a pop, .223 is $8-15 a mag depending on the type, $10 a mag for 9mm, $15-29 a mag for .308, etc. It does add up but anything you do that's fun costs a little money.
