  • This is the single greatest song ever written.

  • Brilliant, Dan!

  • Thumbs up if you came here by the Dawkin's "Ancestor's Tale".

  • what is this?

  • the science teacher took acid before class and this is what happened...

  • This is awesome!

  • didn't even rhyme, half the time.

  • tht fish reminds me of a game called (fisherman bait 2: big ol bass)

  • I WANNA BE A COELACANTH! IN THE DEEP BLUE SEA

  • its a good song it deservesit for surviving massive extintions!1

  • this is my favorite thing in the entire world

  • u wish u could meet the fish? what would it say hey how are you doing?

  • Thanks for this because I LOVE coelacanths!

There my most top fish in the world.

    THANKS!

I wanna be a coelacanth! Because I love them.

  • bahahah this his awesome !!! ^^ I want to be a coelacanth !

  • It looks like a giant beta fish.

  • The oldest fish known to exist? Nice!

  • well find another fish that lived 500 million years that lives even 2day

  • BEST SONG EVER

  • @danarmst can you give me the lyrics

  • is it just me, or does this song sound like something out of Clay Fighters?

  • @danarmst You could use the Greenland Shark

  • i like how theres no attempt to rhyme anything

  • You are now awesome.

  • Can I get a download of this?

  • Genius!

  • why ihr spike not german ?

  • Like the song. I've found a colony in the Pacific. I'm at present organizing protection for the colony before I highlight it's existance. I expect to undertake an expedition to the site early next year to ascertain the position of their caves. A mature juvenile swam past one of my crew during a drop-off snorkel. I expect we will create a documentary out of our discovery. Maybe we could use your song .... Rgds .... Capt. David

  • Aaaaaiiiiii wanna be a Coelacanth!

  • awesome song, and not ginko trees...hmm......SHARKS!!!!!!! theres a kind of shark that hasn't changed for millions of years :)

  • Fantastic - straight out of Zappa....! But with a nice oceanic wawy twist...

  • is this song on Itunes yet?

  • this is the greatest thing youtube ever produced

  • @kutthroat84 I agree

  • I caught a coelacanth on Animal Crossing

  • What a great song!

  • lol this song is fucking hilarious

  • this just made my vertebrates revision much more fun

  • ERVs are lingering remnants of failed viral infection, which occurred in an ancestor's sex cell and got propagated in its offspring. The viral insertion site is completely random and finding one in the same location in two individuals indicates they each had that same ancestor. Humans and chimps have 98,000 ERV locations in common. Common ancestor?

  • @gurke860

    It is biology, a science

  • evolution is not controviersial in the scientific community. Just some fuddies don't get it.

  • Is there a way I can download this?

  • GROOVY! sounds like they might be giants Xp you should talk to them!

  • best song i've heard all month

the world needs more coelacanth songs like this!

  • i was reading that the coelachants live by a miracle some scientists say that they should be Deceased long time ago but look millions of year thats so cool

  • i think they were either too deep down or un aware of the mass extinction

  • This is the best thing I have seen in a while, it made my night. It's just what I needed, now I like the fish even more!

  • Like the ideas ... but the song gets under my nerves... Nice to see a bit more pro-evolution material ... as if that should be at all controversial anymore

  • so should i be eating fish or not. i dont wanna eat something im related to

  • hahaha!!this is so funny?

  • Rofl, he believes in EVOLUTIONS....... this song is amazing... smoke a blunt, sit back and live the dream listening to this soothing Coelacanth groove. This is easily one of the 10 best coelacanth songs of all time.

  • @alkenne2 wait, there are at least 10 songs? SWEET!

  • no wonder this guy believes in evolutions, he's a fucking idiot! lol

  • just try to work 'proto arms and legs' into YOUR song.

where's the horseshoe crab song? these new species get all the credit.

  • This song is seriously pimp ^_^

  • I would love to see one of those in an aquarium. That would be an awesome exhibit, totally worth seeing.

  • As the song says, "the museum's where you'll see 'em": coelacanths shouldn't be fished and no one should try to capture them because any attempt to bring these fish up from the depths where they live will kill them. But you're right: they're very cool.

  • Oh, I had no idea... That's disappointing.

  • Dude, with out these fish and their reletives, we probably wouldnt be alive. they have arm like bone structures in their fins, its beast

  • I'm not entirely sure what you mean, are you taking about eating these things or evolution?

  • Evolution, their fins could eventually create the basic arm for a lizard

  • Dane Dondero digs Dan's divertimento.

  • that fish is pimp

  • this song is freakin' awful, but i'm glad that a coelacanth song exists. Now we must remake it into something that doesn't sound terrible!

  • This is an insult to my favorite fish :(

  • Hey, I didn't know there was a song about my favorite fish of all time. That's my new favorite song.

  • lol

  • I no longer like music.

  • lol...

  • Baha, this had me chuckling the whole video through. Very cute litle jove. :p

  • OMG MY FAV Fish!

this is my one of my favoritest favorites!!!!

  • Good song! I have my doubts about some of the "science" involved in the song though.. haha

  • Haha, this is fantastic.

  • Great song. I'd like to hear more of this band!

  • this is actually the most amazing thing i have seen!

  • you sir, have won the internet.

  • I love this song. You sir have won this day.

  • @ Torwyn11

Either that, or you're just stupid.

Coelacanths have not changed at all in the past few million years. They are one of the only things that remained true to the original.

  • Which coelacanths? There are more than one species and there were MANY extinct ones. They were all alike? Get a brain.

  • I think YOU need a brain.

  • Nice comeback. Very original. Pot. Kettle. Black.
