  • lol I know people like that. A guy asked me to help him record a song he wrote, well turns out he can't actually play anything worth a shit plus his song was note for note just like Stranglehold by Ted Nuggent. What a waste of time. Only the best, most hard working and persistant artists ever make a buck and that's with a little luck thrown in there. Everyone want to be a star I guess.

  • @MrROTD I agree. There are a lot of hacks out there that think that writing children's books is a snap. Hard work, persistance, and dedication to your craft is the only way to be successful in this market. Talent is secondary to exposure....and, as you said, luck. There are some really talented people out there who have never made it and some untalented people who have. You gotta know what you're getting yourself into when deciding to write a children's picture book.
