This is a class bit of kit, i play a lot of hendrix songs and this pedal has to be on my board. i prefer it to the bb plus but having said that the bb is a serious drive also.
I've also got the ep booster, wow this is a must no matter what you've got on your board. check it out after the wha and before every thing else you've got.
Got my AC+ the other day from Teddy at Make N Music in Chicago (gave me a great deal)! Opened the box - did not touch a knob and it sounded great! I have more than 100 pedals and this one is at the TOP OF THE HEAP of distortion/boost pedals.

Is it a preamp in the sense that you can go direct for recording, power amp, P.A. ... etc ?

Save your money , buy this pedal , it will be the last pedal you will ever buy when it comes to OD pedals .
