  • I remember seeing this publicity in cinemas in Paris back then. It actually marked me as I remember very well this pubicity Mary. Anyway , big hug to you and there's a reason , a destiny.

  • Hello Mary, it's Ju***n here!!!! M'y goodness you were amazing, you still are. I have to say this " nota mil"

  • I like the video and the fashion and all, but palm trees in Paris? Oh, ok...

  • this perfume smells good

  • Man people must have had much longer attention spans back then I felt like this commercial would never end!

  • I adored Yves-we lost one of the genius artist of fashion.....King of Couture....J'adore YSL.....

    Indonesia

  • This Model is Mary Mathews

  • that twangy synth bass touches me in a naughty place...

  • i'love it

  • Who is that model?

  • I think the model is Carla Bruni.

I really miss Yves Saint Laurent a lot.

I send him a thousand hearts and roses as yesterday was the sad anniversary date of his passing.....

Yves you are dearly missed. I always felt a strong connection to you!!!!

  • thanks for the reply 6months after i posted it, i didnt realise Yves has gone for a year already

If she's carla bruni she has changed alot. but i doubt, for carla has a slightly larger skull and mouth. i've seen this model in the book called 'the Golden age of couture' or something like that.

  • Hi Lisa; I stand corrected! No that is not Carla Bruni. It is another YSL model.

I just love this YSL Paris advertisement.

YSL was a dear sweet man with so much talent and creativity. I miss hiim even though I never met him personally!!

Hearts and roses to dear Yves!!

  • Who is that model?

  • 1986??? Boia Dè ero bambino

  • My mother weeped when this video was shown on Italian TV for the first time in the early 90s. How could I blame her?

  • weeped? O my...WEPT! Sorry for butchering the English language. Major brain fart here :)

  • mariel hemingway with football player shoulder pads. (ok, not really) 1985, whee! the brunet model at 2:06 is the sex. why don't they make men like that anymore?

  • There's plenty of guys like him around.

You just have to know where to look.:)

  • Yves Saint Laurent was disappointed by the way fashion had become before he died. He would look in Vogue and be sad at what was shown.

And there may be designers "like" him but they are not the same when it comes down to it. He only approved of Albert Elbaz and Stefano Pilati (DEFINITELY NOT Tom Ford!).

    Thank you.

  • I accept your apology for misunderstanding.

  • @NiP Really? I wonder why YSL didn't like Tom?

  • @jrmetmoi YSL didn't like the way Tom designed. I read on theFashionSpot forum that in an interview that YSL said that Tom did not access the archives to the company even though he had access. When YSL sold his company, in his contract he was not allowed to directly comment on Tom's or the coming designer's work. If you search, there's probably more references to YSL's feelings.

  • @StephanAOTTO1 Those hot guys are sitting right by each other very closely....that's when a woman may as well stop searching! LOL

  • Yves Saint Laurent was one of the most influential designers of the 20th century along with Coco Chanel and Christian Dior, he was the last of their generation. He will always be remembered as he revolutionized fashion with his new ideas for women. We will always remember him and appreciate his efforts and enormous contributions. Paris is Fashion Capital Today because of desingers like Yves Saint LAurent.

  • Ana La Cazio (from Cock Robin) sung this version especially for this commercial. Cock Robin was my favorite group at this time and I became crazy when I heard this !

  • Can anyone tell me the singer of the song? not original version!!!!

  • i think this ad brings out the late 80's and early 90's very well .... fashion back then was very appealing !!

  • The song is called "J'ai deux amours".
