  • Was one of the greatest shows of all time.

  • I miss my childhood so much 90s FTW! I would love to see a movie for this show and seeing Pete and Ellen getting married it would be awesome...

  • I am all the way from Latvia! And it seems like i am the only one in this freaking country who feels the way all of you guys feel. I wish i could explain my feelings.

If I had a chance I would get myself the same station wagon Wrigley's family had..

But it's whatever.... it's all gone..

  • @stanprec That's simply one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard, my Latvian friend!

  • I miss the 90s and Pete & Pete... these days, I fell like complete nonsense for dealing with what's on the airwaves today, this song is excellent.

  • i just can't explain the feelings i get from this song.... so so beautiful

  • @unclecletus WHERE IS OUR ELLEN? that's the got to be the most beautiful comment on this entire website. i always dreamed of having a crush on a girl like here, but no. all you find now is messed up females... makes you break into tears of both nostalgia and impotence. that's the curse that we care for being raised in the nineties.

  • Certainly one of my top 10 albums from the 90's. Mark Mulcahy is criminally underrated as a song writer.

  • @RIPNellCarter At least Mark Mulcahy had a tribute album dedicated to him, after his wife died. He's so underappreciated.

  • 90's......Memories.

  • dang, nevermind.. What the hell, did they put the cd out right when the show ended?

  • @wizenhiemr No the show actually ended in like 95/96.

  • @wizenhiemr As I recall, several of their songs were released on a tape that was mainly distributed as a prize in a certain brand of cereal. This was, I think, before the show was cancelled. Then later they released a CD. I could be wrong, but I distinctly remember eating more cereal during that time...

  • that can't be right...1999?

  • This song brought back so many memories, especially when the harmonica kicked in. I had such a sudden flash of seeing the stars by the creek when I had my first kiss. So much is in this song and in my memories, so much.

  • this song almost perfectly describes my feelings for this era...that sense of longing...

  • i have an older brother, i am.. little pete

  • @unclecletus I married my Ellen

  • You are one lucky lucky man to marry your Ellen :)

  • it's not the same harmonica from the show, but the song just scratch my heart =')

  • Anyone know where to find the harp/harmonica tabs for this song????

  • Today, Me and My Friends (all 20 years old and in Our early twenties now...shocking lol) and we were just talking about the best TV Shows that We've seen on Nickelodeon back when we were Kids and I said The Adventures of Pete & Pete because that show rocked My world when I was 4 years old (even though I didn't get the show at that age because it was a little weird hahaha), but as I got older (7 or 8), I get the whole strange humor now...I have not seen that show in over 9 years and I miss it.

  • I've been playing this song over and over all day. How I miss this show.

  • Not a huge indie fan but this song is fucking amazing.

  • pretty much spot on.

    polaris is so good.

  • Son los mejores... alguien sabe si los integrantes tenían alguna otra banda?

Somebody knows, if the guys who play have an other band or bands?

  • @JuanOntaneda

    Check out miracle legion.

  • @unclecletus I am so with you its terrifying. I want my big Pete Wrigley! The 90's was the greatest time ever.

  • This is my favorite Polaris song, I think. Its so sad, though.

  • This sounds so Indie, an incredible track from an incredible Show.

  • @unclecletus right there with you man!

similar things happen to me when I listen to Slowdive, specially "Allison" and "Altogether" from "Souvlaki Space Station", great album.

  • I love you. Thank you for making my month. My ears and heart thank you very much.

  • @ joealanouf absolutely agree with you imma 89er myself

  • im a late 80's .90's kid. and happy to be ....poor kids today

  • This song and the score they used in the show was just so sobering. It made me feel so humble. It's the type of music that makes you realize what the reality of the situation is. And that, eventually, you accept that reality.

  • I just remembered of a dream I had when I was 7 where I was best friends with Danny Tamberelli.

    I miss my childhood :'-(

  • king o frod....

  • hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • why the most blue song is played at radio when living love pain?

    Big Pete for Ellen

  • not for ellen its for the gilr he meets on the road trip to the hover dam in the episode "king of the road" ^^

  • some songs are just perfect and hitting the right emotional chords, especially those of us of the early 90's nickelodeon generation...everytime i hear this song i tear up.

  • and polaris is the perfect band for this

  • The saddest song in the world, and yet one of the most beautiful. Nothing will ever beat Pete & Pete. Surreal and real, touching and comic, Pete and Pete is up there with the greats of world art.

I wish we could all be back there... at least we all remember and cherish it. Peace and love to you all

  • :P Thanks for posting this...

  • beautiful song. perhaps my favorite song on the CD.

as a kid it was a great companion to the show... as an adult with real life love and sadly friends who have passed away, this song means everything.... means more as an adult in my 30s than it did when i was 18...

    God bless all ya'll

  • aww i wanna cry hahaha

    the good old days...

  • I wish their was more posts like yours :P

Yeah, the old days when life was simple, I was in high school, and it was just me and her.....and music from Polaris.

    *sigh.....

  • the most beatiful comment in so much time!

i hope we all end living on a neighbourhood just like Pete's...

    i will keep searching Ellen.

  • much love brother, listening to this for the first time since i was a kid and the show aired on snick. someones got to get working on that damn time machine.

  • But above all...to me...this song represents the death of the 90s and the death of my childhood. It sadly states that its over...and its not coming back.

  • This Band, this album, and this song in particular is just the culmination of my childhood in the 90s when i was care free happy and blissful. I miss it all from the summer days with my friends to the winter snowball fights followed by some hot cocoa next to a fire. it makes me remember of my first kiss or my first bicycle or how happy I was when I finally got a Nintendo 64. Makes me smile haha. As much as I love being an adult...I wish it was like it used to be. I guess memories will suffice

  • @SLUguyMadrid exactly

  • Comment removed

  • @SLUguyMadrid Well said.

  • @SLUguyMadrid I was still playing Super Nintendo, we didn't even get N64 until the early 00s.

  • amazing song by an amazing band :D

    thanks for the posts :D

  • I am not this way for time ... I surprise it ...... wait soon to feel it again.

Good song and it is clear that it brings good recollections. Thank you

  • i think this is their best song. very moving. reminds me of seeing an old high school friend

  • True. It also takes me back to the early 90s.

  • I just love the 1st few tones of the song.

  • thanks for posting this. I love Polaris
