  • Nice video, specially catered to creating small batch icing. Thanks for replying to the questions as well, very helpful.

  • @CupcakeIdeasForYou I love small batch cooking as sweets go very slowly in this family and we usually toss stuff out :(

  • mhm

  • Can we use margine or does it have to be buttter?

  • @Briaaannaa you can try but there is no guarantee that they will end up the same

  • I did it but it didn't work can u do 1 with all porpse flour & without tge whipping cream wen u have time pretty plz!!!!

  • Can u replace anything with the whipping cream

  • @PaigeHottey I googled and one person said half and half. Let me know if that works out for you

  • Do u have 2 use wipping cream?

  • @PaigeHottey yes

  • Okay so I made this and I did everything correctly I think and turned out to be really really thick and when I took it out of the oven it was like play dough kindly or rubber ..... Can you maybe tell what I did wrong or tips for the future ???

  • @REDVINES1231 I wish I could help. I do plan on making it again in the next week or three and will think about it. I do know that I always use skim milk because that is all I have in my house and that is about the only thing that is ever modified in my recipes

  • which flour all purpose?

  • @redcojan Yes and for future reference, unless it is specifically stated, it is always all purpose.

  • wow this sounds like it might actually work. im eleven and i cook treats sometimes for my older brothers and i want to try something i thought of by putting jelly beans and marshmellows in my cupcakes. if u think its a yummy idea please thumbs up or reply. thx

  • @Hannaneh100 I don't know if the jelly beans would melt down and become one huge lump or not--not sure what the oven temp would do to it, but this recipe is good as is without disturbing the flavor. I'd keep the marshmallows and jelly beans for the top on the icing

  • @CookingAndCrafting ok thx a lot for the info im glad i didnt try it yet ill use ur ideas.

  • evry one loved them

  • but thnx alot for the recipe it was the best i meant it is the best thnx

  • @layaleo I'm happy you like me calling you kids haha Lots of people do not get it or understand it. I am older than most people here ;) I'm glad you liked the recipe...it is very delicious!!

  • i like her word kids lol

  • Where did you find/get this recipe? Does this recipe only come in the smaller batch version? Or is there one for 12 or 24 cupcakes? I'm assuming it can be doubled, tripled and quadrupled, but is there one that happens to come that way already? I only ask because sometimes recipes can't be doubled, tripled, and so on. They tend to come out a little different. I dunno. Just curious because I'm interested in making these! :D Sorry for the long question/inquiry! D:

  • @mchavarria91 I think I got it from Dessert for Two. She makes them herself on a small scale. I'll start digging around to make sure that is correct

  • @mchavarria91 Nope, not there. It may have been from Taste of Home in their Dinner for Two section. THey also make scaled down recipes.

  • @BookWormAlisha I hope you all enjoyed it

  • I love your rooster spoons! :-D

  • @drbennettdc Thanks! I love them. Picked them up in Sedona and cringed at the price, but is a nice remembrance of our little day trip there :)

  • my mom taught me the same with eggs...always crack and add them in a bowl separately...it would be a huge disappointment if you cracked a bad egg into your other ingredients ;-) ...guess she learned the hard way...lol

  • @renee7aw Ooooohhhhh yeah I can see where that wouldn't be a good thing. Yikes!

  • nice set of spoons !!!!

  • @hw1986430 Thanks :)

  • Nom Nom Nom....Thx so much for these small batch recipes. This really helps with my diet. It limits the amount in the house and I get to have a treat..Yaay me! HugZ Be

    autiful

  • @1jojolicious Yeah small recipes rock. It seldom goes to waste :)

  • @BookWormAlisha Thanks :)

  • i really need to start to learn to bake. but i really first need to get baking supplies hahaa can't bake with out them first

  • @y3rlo At Walmart I saw a "starter" set up with a cookie sheet and various sized baking pans. Start slowly until you have all the goodies to start with!

  • @wilsheart5 Splenda's website is full of suggestions for cooking and baking. I find it really helpful to cut back on sugar calories

  • @lolaxian I don't normally keep cream on hand so if using plain milk would result in just an average tasting cupcake instead of this incredibly good one then I would definitely run out and purchase cream. Just curious, why did you think I asked?

  • Looks good:)

  • @10NozomiRai10 Thanks :)

  • you said you'd try to get as much mix of the beaters as you can, but haven't you tried holding the beaters about 2-3 inches above the mix and turn it on to high for a few seconds? it just whips everything off. hope that helps? thanks for the recipe, but with all the kids in my house i'd need to quadruple it! haha but i watch anyway because i love your videos so much. thanks again :) <3

  • @oxRACH333Lxo I do do that.

  • I am going to make these today. I am wanting something sweet. Will try splenda and will let you know how they came out! No icing, tho....gotta be good.

  • @wildheart5 Yey, let me know if you like it

  • I will need 3 dozen of these..LOL YUMMMMMMMMMMMmm

  • @kareemtiheed Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. But we still ended up tossing one cupcake. And when offered, Bain wanted the one with the jimmies on it haha

  • The batter WAS SO FLUFFYYYYYY!!

I bet this would make really cool unicorn cupcakes (okay, last unicorn cupcake reference, I promise)

  • @yoyomax12 HAHAHA Can you make fluffy unicorn cupcakes, please?

  • looks great! and I love your measuring spoons (with the hens), may I ask where you got them?

    aloha :)

  • @sionnach8 Got them in Sedona

  • your measuring spoons are awesome

i want to lick the bowl so bad ;P

    very pretty results

this is going to sound odd but usually i am grossed out by end shots with a bite out of the food but that one did not look all messy and nasty. good on ya :)

    xoexo

  • @edenbainbridge Thanks :) lol Licking the bowl is fun :)

  • that looks so coool ... So i am gonna finish my exams in a couple of days and i will finally head to the kitchen :D so can i use your lovely cups and spoons for wet stuff ?? I see u have a diff pic on the video lol cangrats btw that is so great :D

  • @Sannoon93 Yey! Have fun!

  • Small batch? What did you call my mother?!? hahaha I couldn't resist. Mmmm, looks good. And I love your metal measuring spoons. Honestly, those things hang around for ages- they might as well be beautiful. A six cupcake recipe is smart too.

  • @warmgulfwind lol...you're nuts :)

  • Yummy! :o)

  • @CindyMae11 Thanks :)

  • Just curious Beth, do you think the heavy cream in this is what makes it so good? Other than that it's a pretty standard recipe so I'm betting that's it. I love a good moist white cup cake

  • @jcrefasi1 It has to be. I use only skim milk in my house. I try to keep a tiny little container of whole milk for cooking, but it will almost always go bad .. I really did enjoy this cupcake. So nice and moist and flavorful.

  • @jcrefasi1 why did you ask her that?

  • yuuuum (end result looked amazing)

  • @MissPonderosa Thanks :)

  • Oh those look very good :D! Last timeI made my frosting some how it came out to liquidly :(

  • @chavitavb They were delicious!
