  • Love it! I am keeping it to help me organize a database of music-related information I've been gathering. Have you heard Jubal's newest CD ("Take It Home")?

  • Wow, Crystal! You take the time to answer! A real teacher by heart you show!

  • Good presentation of material, but the relatively long music interludes along with family photos just get in the way.

  • Hi Amocabana (what is your name?)

Thank you -- I do have more music here than my other videos as pictures tell a better story than I can say ... meanwhile, why not listen to a great song?

We have so much to organize! The first structures I will introduce in Access, as it turns out, do not include photos .. not because they are not important, but because you need to walk before you run.

I want to teach you to structure with flexibility ...

    Warm Regards, Crystal

    have an awesome day

  • I printed your 100 page book, Thanks so so much for taking the time.

  • you are welcome, and thank you! For those of you who want 'Access Basics', click (more info) in upper right for a link

I like the videos you make for your children -- it is great that you do such creative things for them!

  • Family is always the harshest critic. You get a great rating from your oldest brother, who went to college when there were no PC's, no hand held calculators (well, there was one, it was only 4-function, inaccurate, and cost almost 600 times minimum wage--and he had it only because his father was a senator--that was cutting edge).

Years later, when PC's arrived (Radio Shack) the general advice was "Don't waste your time, personal computers are a short term fad". I listened, now trying to learn.

  • Wonderful!!!!

  • Hi Crystal, I'm becoming more adept at using YouTube videos. We have the advantage of pausing and replaying so we don't need long pauses. We can "freeze" a screen of interest then go on when ready.

  • ooh, I am so glad! Thank you, Barbara -- as you can see in 2B, I wasn't very good about slowing it down!

  • Hey Crystal, Found you via group message by Bill Mosca and I subscribed immediately. I am a user of Access 2000, and so far, everything you've mentioned applies. I am always looking to learn new things, but I am scared to death of upgrading to the newest version.

    I digress :-)

Thanks for taking the time and effort to showcase your talents here. I truly appreciate it.

    Sincerely,

    Steve Freeman

  • thank you and you are welcome, Steve! I will be showing how to do things in Access 2007 and lower versions side-by-side ... so nothing to be worried about! The 2007 interface just looks different, but still has the same functionality

  • Thank you for the crystal clear illustration that make the explanation easy to understand.

  • thank you, dmalle! ... spent countless hours making drawings, I am happy that you like them

  • Great graphics, music and use of color to highlight organization. Would like more pauses (to take a breath) between main sections before screen changes. A lot of important organizational concepts concisely presented. Great job!

  • thank you, Barbara! ..more pauses ... yes, I will work on that! There is so much I want to teach you (have the next several lessons planned out), but I get limited by YouTube's 10-minute requirement and have to start cutting.
