  • "Lifetime orgasm count..."

  • A display on my SKIN?? I'd opt to see that on my clothes, watch or phone first. I don't exactly feel ready for skin-based displays yet...

  • I cant wait for nanite tattoo ink!

That would be great, changing your tattoo when you want or hiding it.

I wouldn't have to mess with camouflage cream when I go hunting and I could really blend with my environment.

Don't just embrace the technology, internalise it!

  • Nice animation nanogirl. This part of nanotechnology is new to me. This is too cool.

  • This is some serious anti-Christ stuff. Good to know and very good for information, but scary.

  • Looks pretty well made, i'd just like to point out that you should perhaps make that screen go along with the physical shape of the hand as it's not a flat surface.

It would a more realistic and natural look to the whole presentation... no offense or anything but the way, just trying to give some constructive criticism.

  • Cool stuff. I'm off to see that corneal display you mentioned in response to an earlier comment.

  • Thank you! Hope you enjoy my other work!

  • Interesting but also a a bit scary

  • nice job, i'm trying to learn 3D animation too

btw, it would be cool to have an "estimated remaining life countdown" lol

  • Armyfractal: Oh wonderful, 3d is a real mental challenge, it is a complex and beautiful journey. I wish you the best of luck. And, the hope is that with future nanotechnology perhaps we won't need a remaining lifetime countdown at all, we may be able to repair all of our damaged cells and bypass disease and ageing all together!

  • interesting i think it might happen one day

  • Thank you PabloManUk.

  • Im sorry but we haven't conquer cancer yet. Tell that to the relatives of 7.6 million people who died from cancer in the world during 2007. Cancer is not merely caused by electromagnetic fields. You are misleading my point anyway...

  • This is a nice joke...

  • Not a joke, I made this animation based on a design from the book Nanomedicine by

Robert A. Freitas Jr. (with his help of course), it is an purposed application that could one day be made possible by nanotechnology.

  • I agree in the fact that this may be produced, in the same way that time travel can be possible. But I still think that is kind of a joke due to the fact that nanothechnology still in "diapers." Just like Quantum physics is in "diapers" because we haven't get into a black hole yet.

  • Yes, nanotechnology is still in it's infancy, but I am thankful that there are theorists out there (like Freitas) thinking of ways that we could one day utilize this technology to improve our bodies and our health. And ~ I look forward to their arrival!

  • We're there. QP Theory is that we might be living IN a black hole. It's been three days, somebody needs to open the box and feed Shrodinger's cat.

  • My point is that this is more Sci-FI than a real thing.

I can also saiy that in the future we will use cars propelled by electromagnetic fields. In theory is possible, however we are far away from that event. Therefore is nothing more than Sci-Fi.

  • first we conquer cancer or figure out which electromagnetics cause cancer and learn to contain them. Cars propelled by electromagnetic fields are here too, but where those are being develoed, public transportation (many using non-gasoline combustibles) is WAAAY more popular so disinterest makes production startup costs too frightening.

  • what if i'm driving?

  • I wouldn't suggest tapping it on while driving (just like texting while driving is not a good idea either), but you could perhaps have data supplied by an audio output (making it more similar to radio).

  • great! something else to make us even closer to being robots. get that thing away from me.

  • The goal is to "keep" the human body in it's best shape, not to replace it. In today's world we go to the hospital and if needed we might get a knee replacement, or pacemaker, but it is not because we want to be completely cyborg, we just want our faults to be improved enough that we can function well. It is to make our human bodies better.

  • Next you bring up the screen on your other hand and watch a video on youtube about the advances that will be possible so very soon. lol

  • That sure would put the "you" in Youtube wouldn't it!

  • if this worked we coud use this to change couler or become invisible

  • a typical advert of 2034: "Death comes to us all. But with McBarro nanotics you can reduce the kognition transfer time from your near dead brain to the new one by 3 HOURS! no more long queues and missed lifetime but instant wake up in your fresh body! try it today!"

  • this is SO crazy. I'm reading about the exponential advance of technology and the fact that stuff like this is within sight (our lifetimes), is mindblowing

  • Our knowledge of technology doubles every 18 months...that 18 month doubling period is also getting smaller. Thats insane. I suggest you watch the documentary 2050. There are three of them, the world, the city and the body. Very interesting. You get to see what infantile research being compiled today may turn into by 2050. Like a printer that can print a new body part for you ei. a heart. In this time, scientist can use a printer to spell a word with bacteria.

  • Simply amazing!

Yet another way that nanotechnology will transform our world if we use it wisely!

The future truly is SO bright :P

    Peace.

  • Thank you Tattoo1377.

  • nanogirl...I started watching fractal videos and you ended up sucking me in to learning about technology I had only heard of from a friend...keep up the good work, you are a true artist.

  • Terrific, glad it's inspiring you to find out more about it. Thank you.

  • you probably hear this all the time, but girls that like science ROCK lol...:P

  • Waterproof?

  • Yes, it would behave the same as your skin, not paint or make up. Nothing external would effect the visuals.

  • I was only kidding!

  • Oh, of course! : )

  • nothing would "affect" the visuals; except for going nuts by having a misspelled word tattooed into your body and later having it removed. Ouch.

  • Fortunately in the case of the dermal display it is not ink on the skin like a tattoo, it is little pixel bots that can re-organize themselves and re-appear and disappear completely. So this would actually avoid the problem that tattoo's have of being permanent.

  • That would be the coolest ever. This thing could also be used to have tattoos like those picture frames that change the pictures on the screen! totally pimptasticizzlelicious.

  • Sure could, you could have pretty much anything on it. Thanks for watching.

  • I think the "Messager" coupled with the "Lifetime Orgsm" counter alone would outsell chocolate;D

  • Absolutely! And thank you.

  • salam alikom :) ,

    perhaps

  • thats awesome!

cant wait to get mine! (haha, jk)

  • I'm looking forward to it too!

  • this is the best

  • Glad you like it!

  • Fascinating! Animations like these are always informative and entertaining to me. Hopefully we don't all become hypochondriacs and check our health status incessantly! But luckily at that point the program will be able to steady our nerves and assure us that we aren't really dieing from a twinge in the chest, or a stomach ache. Thank you for the great video.

  • very cool

  • Thank you.

  • very cool animation. mixed feelings about the concept -- i can imagine implanting nanobots in my body for various reasons, but not specifically with features like "reminding me of my medical appointments." there's something disturbing about that. also, the guy's comment of "you're not a doctor" was ironic, considering the detail in the information provided

  • The author who is narrating my animation (Robert A. Freitas Jr.) is talking to you as if you are not a doctor (most of the population is not), which is why the dermal display on your hand would be to your advantage. If you felt something you could figure out what it was immediately, this could save lives during critical moments. Since it is a computer with medical information, it is of convenience have other system functions available. Thank you for watching & commenting mysterywalker!

  • wow you did the animation, that's great :)

maybe the nanobots could display their images on the

retina - as for the display, I'd say a program would compute the risk factors based on the acquired data, and suggest what to do next ( go to the doctor or ignore the symptom )

  • Yes I did, thank you mcasual. Yes there has been discussion of displays that appear directly within ones vision. I did a crude animation a couple years back of a "cornea computer" nanogirl(dot)com/museumfuture/corneacomputer(dot)htm

And yes, your are right about the capabilities! Perhaps one day even immediately resolve it!

  • Wow! One could use that to check a date's health, too, eh? They come your door, you check their health on their hand before taking them out to dinner. That could save me a lot of money!

  • Ah, ha ha, that's a good one marquisdejolie! Thank you!
