@cupcakelubable My grandparents have died one by one, I have been bullied, beaten, thrown to the mud(literally) and being forced to eat grass, told ugly names, being forced to do house work(as in maid work, little food, no payment, no sleep), and told I was worthless, this happened to me from I was 8 years old, father left me, my mother worked abroad, so I was left with my aunt who cared only for her children, I had nothing.

I've never had someone close to me commit suicide so I can't understand what friends and family go through. This video is uplifting and inspiring even though it's centred around a very sensitive and sad subject.
I understand it hurts, but to call them selfish is unfair.
If you ask your friends to take a road trip, the one who declines because he, for whatever reason feels miserable on the road, is not being selfish. You try to accommodate him, but if he doesn't want to take that trip, it's unfair to pressure him into doing so just to appease you.
Even if he would have made the road trip funner for the rest of you, it doesn't mean he is wrong for not going. Respect that, & I wish you the best.

Perhaps if you knew him better he wouldn't have been as prone to suicide. I cannot claim to know his circumstances, but I've been suicidal for over 25 years, and the primary reason for my suicidal depression is due to isolation and loneliness.
Everyone sees that quiet person in the corner at a party and just ignores him/her, not realizing how much pain that person may be in.
I do agree with you on one thing: It affects everyone around you, which is why I now live far away from everyone....

A guy in my class killed himself, even after seeing this video. I understand what you're going through, but you're the selfish one here. That guy had been my best friend ever since we were three and it hurts like hell but instead of calling him "selfish" and getting mad at him, I decided to consider the reasons of his suicide. Perhaps if you knew him better he wouldn't have been as prone to suicide. I cannot claim to know his circumstances, but I've been suicidal for over 25 years, and the primary reason for my suicidal depression is due to isolation and loneliness.
Everyone sees that quiet person in the corner at a party and just ignores him/her, not realizing how much pain that person may be in.
I do agree with you on one thing: It affects everyone around you, which is why I now live far away from everyone....

2) 4 guys from my town have committed suicide in the past year. i live in a small towm, so 4 people is a big loss. they were all great kids too and 3 of them did it because of something having to do with drugs. the other did it because his gf broke up with him. it was so devestating and i only knew one of them. people said "there in a better place now"....but their lives werent ready to end

You can say either way is selfish whether it is taking your life (and how you effect those around you) or saying someone is selfish because they can and do not want to deal with their life anymore. He meant the blame partially on you because at the end of the day you don't have to deal with what your friend had to or at least the degree to which it had taken on. @Dall5000 miserable lives??? oh wahhh people make fun of me at school... my parents fight.... there is ALWAYS someone worse off than you... and if you ever contemplate suicide its selfish to the other people out there that want to live but are killed in horrible ways. BUT on the other hand the world would probably be better off without them anyway
