@TheSubzerogr I've raced circle tracks on asphalt and dirt and I've raced on road courses. Circle tracks are more difficult by far but they are funner due to the style of racing. It's too easy to pass and drive on a road coarse. Being in a ballsy stock car is 1000 times harder to drive and control than driving a nice fancy sports car on a road coarse. And look, over the past decade, many open wheel racers have gone to Nascar and SUCKED, so yeah you are totally wrong here.

@TheSubzerogr People often see oval track racing as "easy", it's not because of how the rules regulate the cars. Nascar enforces rules that shifts the balance towards drivers being the determining factor in a race and not the equipment. Very narrow slicks and small rear wings are used so vehicles have a tremendous amount of oversteer. Since racing is always very close and there is constant overtaking, drivers are in slipstreams the whole race which affects the handling and often causes crashes.

@Stags80 xbox version wouldn't be anywhere near as good, as it's a blue-ray disk it can hold more data. So if it was releaased on xbox with the same graphics you'd get about 4 tracks and less than half the cars

the monthly subscription is fine for iRacing, the ripoff is that you have to buy cars and tracks...but there's nothing even close to it, the difference between iRacing and LFS is like the difference between GT5 and Forza 3...

iRacing laser scans their tracks down to the milimeter, it is a 100% exact model, they reverse engineer/model the cars from scratch, they don't use some car model to plug in weight/hp like GT5. Real drivers use iRacing for training, that's a fact.

I don't think there is much chance of NASCAR coming to Xbox, I think Polyphony Digital now have exclusive rights from the 2010 launch.

Mind you I might be mistaken because where some reports say they now have the exclusity rights, other say they bought "one" of the licences after EA lost exclusity.

Who ever is complaining about spelling and grammar has nothing to add to the conversation. Personally I think NASCAR is dull but this is the EXACT next step that polyphony should take with GT. They have touring racing, rally, now formula and drift. Well really, what's the last big category? Exactly. One game that covers all major motorsports with one physics engine... means that it's a damn good physics engine. I'm actually looking forward to the nascar part; if anything the cars sound cool.
