@punkjazz88 Yes, I agree in a certain way, but there are also "God bless the child", "Body and Soul", "Round about midnight", etc... the list is so long...
@jmbellec "The greatest....tenor, trumpetet, pianist, drummer, singer...........It's impossible to agree but wonderful to argue. After I realized Miles was not the greatest musician ever not even the beat horn I became open to new ideas. My five now with some level of doubt - "Body and Soul"(the problem now becomes picking the best of 100 great versions); "All the Things You Are"; "Lush Life""What's New?" and "'Round Midnight." May music fill your heart with joy'
When you stroll down CPW (in NYC it's stroll or run) at 74th St listen for the lovely composition. I've lived in NYC for 70 years and sat in my window looking over the Park sharing my favorites, Trane, Ben Webster, Dexter Gordon, Joe Gordon, Don Byas - on and on through the ages.on radio, disc, etc). The one constant is the glory of CPW.
Gee, just a nice relaxed mood . I lived on W 82 st. and this seems like a Sunday there . I guess I came looking for Trane and found something nice ,alive , and an unexpected pleasure. All the best to you guys!
Sure ! you are right ! We know that this is a tribute, not the original... we really respect and love John Coltrane and his music, and it is our way to pay homage to this terrific quartet.
Track that I love. Nicely.
