  • that cars fuel tank has sooooooooo been modiyed to run with that grease

  • @MegaDSFAN Actually Mythbusters did a show on mileage with bio-diesel and ran a Mercedes on straight grease from a restaurant without any additives at all. Diesels first engine ran on 100% peanut oil, so it is totally doable. Not sure for how long and don't try it if it is really cold, but doable.

  • Why did this idiot smash the driver side door window? Now he has glass all over the seat!!! He should have broken one of the back windows or at least the very small window rite in front of the window he broke...LOL. Better yet the small one on the passenger side!!!! And this guy is suppost to be smart as a survivor?

    This show is a joke!!!

  • @TheWeThePeopleToday everyone has a fuckup, if thats the worse he screws up during an apocalypse, Id still call him a genious. Cry me a river survivor weeaboo.

  • Wow, I want however much time I wasted watching this back.

  • Out of everything he shows us, and of everything he talks of need ing to do, I can't help but think about one thing. Rudy was a Recon Marine, he is now with Navy EOD and in all of these videos He has a crowbar and a flashlight as weapons... Rudy seems like an AK guy to me, Why he never carried one for the show I dont know. But in real life he would, I would, and so would you !

  • @Herbymac0811 my fave weapons, AK, Mosin Nagant, Saiga. pistols would be a 1911 and a quality revolver. knives would be a kukri, kabar, and good ole machete. What I would choose during this kind of shit.... not sure, id have to get back to you on that.

  • @kaldicuct All in all I'd use what ever I could get my hands on. BUT .... If I had a choice in it I'd have my M4, my 1911, and my kabar. Being the end of the world as we knew it I'd like to b ase light and as mobile as I could. No less than 4 mags for the rifle and no less than 4 mags for the pistol.

  • @Herbymac0811 I'm more a knife guy, dont like using guns much, but.... AK pistol, 1911, Mosin. Plus my assorted blades.

  • Soo what have we learned today children? How to steal a car and how to cross the border into Mexico without getting caught! XD

  • cool show, was fun to watch. every little tid bit of survival skill helps.

  • This guy is so fake....you have not been able to hotwire a car like that since the 1960s. And even if you did, the steering wheel is still locked.

  • @RoyalDragonusa breaking the steering wheel lock on those chevys is easy. Just grab the steering wheel and turn real fing hard. Eighties cars and trucks are easy to do all this with. My family was poor we drove a lot of $300 dollar cars. They didn't always come with keys. My mom taught me how to hot wire a car. She had quite a few hot wired rides.

  • fruty rudy

  • Really? PMR 30 and a BFK. Along with a civic and a scoped long range rifle and your set. Fuck Diesel. Gas will be left over everywhere. Interesting outlook though.

  • meh, the only usefull bit of info was the bio diesel.

  • I dont live in a city but honestly, how long would you expect to survive? This guy is saying that he has food under control with two cans of food. If the economy fell apart anyone with a brain would be heading to farming areas...if they could make it. Even then, the chances that you wont be killed once you reached a farming community is kinda slim.

  • @KesslersCross I can't believe there are not still people roaming the city streets. I doubt the cities would be that empty. Many people and gangs would be in the cities, no matter what happened.

  • @darbone Lol, I never thought of that. Your right, I think the cities would still haver tons of people in them. I would imagine that the interstates would be jammed with traffic leaving the city pretty populated. I just dont see a lot of people living for a long time in the cities. I think the majority have more of an instinct to survive, but way to many dangers to overcome.

  • @KesslersCross I live in Texas, the last thing I want to do is wander out onto some ranchers land and get blown away, or die in the desert. I think people will be forced to stay in the cities with no way out. All the highways will be blocked. I hate those disaster movies where there is a perfect little trail for them to drive through. Read "One Second After", little towns will not welcome millions of urban dwellers, nor will they have food to spare. The Senate passes S.1867 scary look it up

  • What you don't want to do is let your vehicle run while you're not using it.

  • Anyone know the song at the end of this? i thought the show was pretty interesting even if he did a few things that weren't so smart, and i've been looking for the song for a while now.

P.S. yes, he's in detroit, it is literally that empty, look up "Post Industrial Wasteland"

  • Rudy, next time break the passenger window. Then you don't have to sit in glass yeah?

  • he's in new orleans right after katrina

  • @PapaRahChi He's actually in Hamtramck and Highland Park, Michigan...

  • Government don't want you to know how to survive, they want you to be dependent on them

  • something that would prob bring money to Detroit I always thought would be to have them use cities like this for apocalyptic type shows that would be something that would bring in revnue and jobs

  • The point is not to live in the urban centers period. I'm surprised at how many people can't wait to flock to the suburbs and metro areas.

  • Why didn't they continue this series? Rudy Reyes is one bad ass Mexican.

  • where is he?

  • Apocalypse survival guide.

Step #1 - Survive initial disaster.

    Step #2 - Find Rudy.

  • its funny thats what detroit looks like before the apocalypse, can you imagine what it looks like after (not much different i guess)

  • I really wish this show had of continued, so good!

  • Its too bad this show never went past the pilot stage. I guess the history channel execs weren't smart enough to realize that there is a large market for this end of the rule of law/civilization. With all of the problems in the world and peoples paranoia I would think this would be a very popular show. For gods sakes the host has training that is quite relevant to the situation, you can't ask much more then that..

  • he has such a girly voice!!!

  • @ThePrincessMoonbeam

    says someone named "ThePrincessMoonbeam"

  • how is the city empty?

  • This reminds me of I am legend, but with a white man

  • @prebioticc He is Mexican-American.

  • The tag on his truck says Wisconsin

  • Is this filmed in Detroit? It looks too cold to be New Orleans, but you never know. I'm still going with Detroit, it's probably the most apocalyptic big city in the United States.

  • @Nater245689 are you a blackhawks fan by chance, or live in detroit?

  • @Nater245689 It's Detroit.

  • sfb

  • SHIT comment overload sry

  • if anything happens i want to find Rudy Reyes

  • so... how about religion in armegeddon? those it even matter after that?

somebody pls respond, i need to know.

  • @dzulsffril if armegeddon happened, itd be pretty clear that the athiest were right, no god would let such a thing happen

  • When this show aired about a year ago I was like 12 and had moved from a city to the country. When I saw this it inspired me to become prepared and creat a bag and store supplies etc..., thanks Reyes.

  • @Einkanstein same, here, in fact, im make survival notesbooks and finding light supplies in order to know everything i need to to survuve

  • @DarthUnicorn88 Cool dude I am back in the city so now i have gotten into more urban survival and prepperation

  • @DarthUnicorn88 Cool dude I am back in the city so now i have gotten into more urban survival and preperation.

  • @DarthUnicorn88 Im back in the city now and im into more urban prep and survival.

  • @DarthUnicorn88 Cool dude

  • @DarthUnicorn88 Cool dude I now live in an urban enviroment and got into more urban style preperation and survival.

  • @Einkanstein nice, i live in Suburbia so i live near everything i need to know, i got like three fast food places, i got a library, hospital not to far from here, like 4 gas stations, im ready to go

  • It would be so easy to destroy America, one or maybe two nukes above Kansas could wipe out every thing that uses electricity in the country, and then you have no hope of restarting a hospital generator

  • y is there only 1 episode to this? y isnt it a full fledged series?

  • @jabara83 cos most broadcasting companies are fags and cancel all the good shows

  • Watching this just really made me think & has actually helped to get prepared for such a disaster thanks 4 ur vids

  • If armeggedon happened and I saw someone carrying a car battery on thier shoulder wearing thier hood up I'd know right away that it'd be Rudy.

  • @stratocaster1986able who is rudy?

  • stop calling the car "she". idiot.

  • he is full of bs.

For intsnece when making the "bio diesel" the crap that he filtered thru a shirt was brown and i can guarrentee that the stuff he put into the pickup was not what he "made" from the grease. he is full of shit!

  • I need some deserted city for me to practice all the stuff I'm learning..

  • @PureTeenageIgnorancei need a deserted cuty to get away from society for a year or so

  • Any guy who repeats over and over again that fuel and a car is the most important thing to have in a survival situation (over food, water, shelter etc..) shouldn't be listened too.

  • @GBBushcraft I think what he means is outside-the-obvious. You have your obvious materials (food, water, shelter, defense) then your not-so-obvious (rope, flashlight, maps, fuel/vehicle if needed, etc).

  • humm, the window he broke magically repaired itself.

  • The show would be more interesting if they would depict Rudy running into other desperate survivors whether friend or foe. He could keep a Machete & bow & arrow.

  • lmao if the apocalypse did come, then you'd be turned into swiss cheese if you were driving around in a city with a working pick up truck.

  • thumbs up if you want rudy reyes with you when apocalypse comes

  • @GLENDASUCKS

I'd like to have Rudy Reyes around regardless of whether the apocalypse comes. He seems like a good conversationalist and he would be really handy in just about any situation.

  • Hmm issues here with the burb. He is dressed up in rather warm garb, which means its chilly outside. When he attached the power wire to the constant hot i did not see a GP light come on. That thing started way too easy for it being evidently cold especially with no GP cycle. Shows like this really need to examine their facts.

  • instead of frie grease, what not find a semi or garbage truck to tap? diesel burns better than the biiofuels sold at the pump, never mind deep fryer grease

  • oh and what ever happened to (get a gun dang it) not a stupid flash light for protection. plus u might need to hunt.

  • what was the second chemical called?

  • @pryoriz I think he said Methanol and Lye.

  • @bigrozo. Exactly what I think all the time, prepare with tools and food. The ignorant will die off leaving us smarter more aware people to inherit the nation and make it as we see fit

  • What are the odds that the streets would be that clear, though?

  • i saw this wen it was on

  • @royceroller852700000 NO SHIT DUMBASS

  • @SomeGreenTea fuck off faggot

  • dude could you be any cooler !

  • Also don't underestimate the effect of a nuclear Iran. Either Israel will strike them and they'll turn their missiles on Saudi oil fields, or Iran will use their nuclear capability to take control of Saudi oil fields and control our oil.

I don't think Israel will accept a nuclear Iran under any circumstance. But if Iran blows the Saudi wells and blocks the gulf then American oil imports will end instantly.

Everything runs on oil. The cross country shipments of food and everything else.

  • We'll be needing these skills once peak oil and hyper inflation hit.

  • semper fi rudy!

  • Rudy Reyes makes biodiesel? That is awesome.

  • This motherfucker even looks homeless!

  • I love you Fruity Rudy

  • He forgot the slim-jim...

  • It would have been better if they did set a couple of guys out there where it would give you a real view and where you have to be stealth and sneaky

  • He demonstrates how to hotwire a car but completely disregards the steering lock.

  • @froggynewb

I thought turning the engine on automatically disengaged the steering lock.

  • @adoracle1 From my understanding and experience, the steering lock is strictly unlocked only by the ignition key (or by removing the ignition lock wholly) as it is physically part of the ignition lock assembly. Maybe it's different on newer cars (I only work with older stuff), but to me that would completely defeat it's sole purpose--to prevent theft past hotwiring.

Not that it's hard to remove the lock; on older cars like my Datsun it just takes somethign like 2 or 4 allen keys to remove it :\

  • Last man standing when the world ends.

  • I'm an old school foot soldier, before hummers and strykers taxied everyone around, so I know I'll always be mobile capable!! Don't have to worry about fuel shortages or EMP fried circuits on my war wagon!! Boots are my ride!!

  • Rudy and Bear need to team up!! They could call it 'Dual Survival Redux'. A USMC Recon Scout Sniper and SAS together...the well-spring of knowledge would be awesome!! Or at least their spider-man approach to urban survival would be entertaining!!

  • @fauxanarchist dude that would be awesome lol

  • hello ^^ we are a group of people who are trying to create a community thats all about apocalypse related things like roleplay, preparedness talking about possible scenarios. all are welcome :) you can find the link for the site in our channel ^^

  • ok i am off to boost a few cars, thanks fruity rudy, we love you

  • I think a critical component missing in this show is zombies.

  • @gremlin05 why do people always go to zombies? zombies arent real, this man is trying to help you in a post apocalyptic situtation, show some respect

  • @gremlin05 They held the camera.

  • Fruity Rudy is my hero!

  • FAIL. Learn what you are talking about before you make a tv show lol

  • what is this when was it on. and that grease oh god I almost puked.

  • he's a recon marine 1st

  • whats the point of this series?

  • @DevinChief To teach he proper method to peel potatos, how to string beans and general cookery tips. That's fairly obvious isn't it?

  • @DevinChief

that people like him would die in this situation lol

  • @danysniper22 :O rudy reyes can survive anything!

  • Have you seen the national debt lately? 14 trillion dollars, impossible for the government to pay it. When our debtors call for payment it WILL lead to the kind of world he is talking about in this video.

To say nothing of peak oil and a middle eastern war where Iran would destroy oil wells.

Government is now printing dollars to buy debt, the last thing that happens in failing empires of history. Hyperinflation is coming. It will cost trillions of dollars to buy bread.

  • That thing runs awefully smooth for an old beat up suburban. There are a thousand issues with what he is doing but you must understand, situation dictates. This is a best case scenario. Who would wanna watch the show where he gets murdered immediately. U guys cant be serious about the "why did he chose the vehicle that gets the worst gas mileage?"~! Really? ITS AN FN SURVIVAL SHOW! Did ya see when he was pouring the fuel. Those fn gas cans have tiny a** spouts lol! Heet bottle funnel!

  • Wisconsin plates were on the SUV

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for teching me to hot wire muhah :)

  • this guy is awesome, I LOVE YOU FRUITY RUDY!

  • I LOVE YOU FRUITY RUDY

  • the heet can also be used for a pennystove

  • 100 Miles on a full tank.

Damn you Americans really need to start driving more efficient.

I can drive about 500/600Km on a full tank.

  • @xSharktastic different mesure ments and its a deisel car sorry for the bad spelling

  • @xSharktastic what do you drive, probably a small or midsize car, this is a big a** surburban, which means it burns more fuel, which means less miles off a full tank of gas than a car especially a small car

  • @lovelydiva06 But that is just my point exactly definitely if fuel is hard to find and your on your own.

Why would you take a big car.

  • @xSharktastic the big car runs on diesel. earlier in the documentary he mentions that 5% of cars in the US run on diesel, which will make diesel easier to find. and as he demonstrated in the video, he can make diesel fuel. yea it's not good diesel, but if he can get the car to run it's good enough right? just my 2 cents :)

  • @xSharktastic

that little bitty tank of gas he made was no where enought to fill that thing up. Its at least a 25 gal tank. Yeah you are right, we Americans are globaly retarded. I drive a 1 litre 3 cylinder Geo Metro Hatchback. It only makes sence.

  • when the zombie apocalypse comes, I want to be sponsored by oakley too.

  • This was his Legend....

  • You should have broken the rear window as your ass is sitting on glass

  • @caganb lol.. i know i seen that i was like wtf lol... you know damn well they brought a vacuum from the behind the scenes

  • In other words, if u want to survive apocalypse, get a old diesel truck, load it with a portable diesel generator, a short range radio, a tank of 200 gal of diesel fuel or vegetable oil and a crapload of cans. Dont forget some medicine and GUNS ;)

  • 'Rudy'mentry transmitter. heehee

  • This show's deadly.

  • i like this series but why didnt he just smash on of the back windows instead of sitting on glass...

  • @ringtond Cause badasses sit on glass.Duh.

  • @ringtond Series so theres more and were can I find them plz tell me.!?

  • @Mortackstron1 a dunno pal this is the only one ave been able to find..

  • @Mortackstron1 I'm pretty sure this is the only one. They should of made it into a series though. I'm sure it would of been a big hit.

  • @ringtond I wondered that myself that wouldnt be a good thing in bad times lol or good.

  • Comment removed

  • @ringtond if you smash the back window on an SUV the draft sucks in exhaust fumes. I wanna know how he disabled the steering lock.

  • @ringtond

Cause he can control/resist anything attempting to enter his window/door.

    Not the back.

  • @ringtond he cleans the glass off the seat, and besides, its easier and quicker to get through that way

  • The only thing he forgot to mention is to shut down the fuckin power when you leave the hospital, for obvious reasons, really great "show" i hope they make a 2nd one..

  • all this crap about the bible, just go to church and stop watching shows like this.

  • I am not saying im a prophet u geek, or a self-righteous hardass...maybe u should read the bile...revelations...

so please dont be the one who will reject Christ, it can cost you your life. Oh, btw, your another person who is lost or else you would believe and obey God.

  • id just start a fire under the oil dumpster

and he just went from a 1/4 tank to full in a 5 gallon gas can

  • You are just a scared little girl.

look pal, it does not take a genius to figure out that the world is going to end, but you keep on thinking other wise, if i were you, i would get on my knees and ask God to forgive your sins. Quit acting like a girl.

  • @airborne4325 and you're another religious fanatic. btw, it did take a genius of sorts to figure out the world is going to end, at least in the christian sense. you just take their word for it. those disciples who believed they were living in the end of times were wrong. if i were you, i'd shut up about all that because nobody knows when or if the world will end unless they're a prophet of sorts. so quit acting like you're self righteous hardass

  • ill just go to cabelas or academy for everything i need to servive

  • Rudy reyes, Armageddon will happen and it is not like a hurricane or even a massive earthquake, but a war in Israel, and the USA will be annihilated by a several nukes, and you and everyone else will be dead. Man, I can't belive you suckered the History channel to run your show. Nice., but they are dumb.

  • wtf is wrong with you you sound like a fking terrorist... you speak i a way that makes me believe that you are an extremist

  • @airborne4325

Who cares. In 60 years, give or take a few, we'll all be dead anyway.

  • @bullydogbean true that

  • they are missing another really important point about Diesel. Diesel does not go bad over time

  • @Dominique6005

I thought its condensed? Maybe Im wrong.

  • @Dominique6005 guess you learn something new every day! Nice thanks

  • Stupid. Never break any of the front windows. Always break the ones in the rear and reach in and unlock the front doors. Diesel, not gas. DO NOT LET METHANOL CONTACT YOUR SKIN. it has been shown to cause vision loss and other health related problems.

  • @WarDog229A

its post apocalyptic? lol health related problems!

  • thanks for uploading i missed a couple of episodes durring that week this show is awesome

  • @TheG0dlyBros A couple of episodes?! Thers more?!
