That blinking thing you see at the end of the Turbo Tunnel is a warp to Surf City.

turbo tunnel is all about reflexes. and not doing too much in the level. i have seen people play this game and overcompensate in this level, just let the bike do its thing and its all about rhythm, and the blinking light is a warp to level 5

What makes this game so hard is you HAVE to memorize everything. You can get past 5 levels or so blindly if you have insanely good reflexes, but there are 14 levels. They're all long as shit, and having the best reflexes on the planet just won't cut it anymore after level 5. Beyond that point, this game becomes Dragon's Lair. It's been 20 years and I just picked up my old NES out of storage with this game a few months ago, and I'm only on level 9. I probably should be using an emulator.

This is THE hardest game I have... EVER played!!! I only made it to 11:51 when I was 7 years. I always thought that it was the 3d and the last stage of the game and I was so proud of myself that I got so far. LOLz!! ^_^

I remember when I was like 8 or 9 I tried Battletoads....it wasn't pretty. I couldn't get past the speeder bike lulz.

Did anyone else find it hard to look at the brain texture of the tunnel walls whizzing by? It moves so fast, it started to make my eyes hurt.

Anyway, I am really forward to more of this LP. I've never seen or played this game, only heard about how ridiculously hard it is. This is gonna be a good one, I can tell. Great work as always, Lancer.

Believe it or not I beat this game several times after a shit TON of practice on my NES years ago. I played the crap out of this game. Finishing every level with no warps requires the extra lives trick

The trick that I had to do though was get about 30 lives in the shaft level from the birds in order to beat the game though. The trick is to use the sword from one of the birds which makes you not move when you swing . That took a lot of practice, but the counter for lives keeps going past 5.

You are right Lancer, that is a warp...I would advance you to Level 5...there is also a warp in Level 1, Level 4, and Level 6

I never found the Turbo Tunnel THAT hard. Rat Race and Clinger Wingers, though...*shudders*

I love that high-pitched shattering sound the Walker-remnants make when you break them with the Walker leg. The SFX and especially the music are wonderful in this game.

@LancerD1984 Indeed it is awesome, my cousin and I played the arcade version of Battletoads years ago and believe me, it makes the NES version look like a game for toddlers, and did you forget about the Wreckin Ball move in the Wookie Hole when you move to the wall.
