  • Nice shifting! I love when people leave the USDM gauges in with a K20A2 swap, since the new redline is at the top of the old gauge you wind up wringing the engine out to 20mph on the cluster!

    Because too many kids play video games thinking they can buy a turbo-kit for some 5000 game-credits and boost their car to 600hp

    It costs 1000's to turbo boost a NA car and comes often with many complications... Do you want to turbo boost a 15.000$ daily driver car, hoping you don't come accros mechanical issues, ending you up using community transport because you hoped for 100 more horsepower.

  • people do swap motors in these pretty often. a reflash only moves the redline 500 rpm

  • well i wasn't talking about a reflash....i was only thinking that he most likely just chipped the ecu and raised the rev limit. my friend has a ep3 and it pulls just like this one and sounds identical and his is just chipped....in my opinion you can tell the difference between a k20a2 and a a3, a2 seems a lil more aggressive than a a3

    Stock for stock both are very similar. The ITR is lighter but the CTR is more powerful.

  • tuned or not, our motors (jdmk20a/a2/z1) should not be taken up any higher than 8600 with out upgraded rods,bearings, pistons, cams, valve springs. it can handle it stock but not for a long time.

  • well the kpro only works for the K-series engines. so if you have an K-series engine then u can get kpro otherwise u gotta look into tha s100 and s300 ecu's from hondata. As long as you have any K-series engine u can get K-pro and have it work. doesnt matter what car u have.

  • K20a2 swap, right? No way the K20a3 can have 219.1WHP, they're perhaps the worst series of engine Honda ever created, full boltons and perhaps 5-8HP gain over the stock 160. Guy on Ephatch spent close to $4,000 on all motor set up and only dyno'd 189.

  • the motor is all stock. As far as bolt ons go, it has an Injen CAI, DCRH, BC Pro Spec Exhaust, Exedy Stage 2 clutch and flywheel, and Hondata K-pro Tuned to 219.1 WHP

  • The engine you have in an ITR. That's why it rev's up to 9,000rpms. It seems like these guys don't have a clue about the ITR. My only question is that, with the k-pro, you set your rev/launch-limiter to 6,000rpms, I didn't year any wheel spin, is that true that you didn't have any wheel spin?

  • well to start, its not an ITR swap. The K20a2 came out of a USDM RSX type s. It revs to 8600 because of K-pro. Stock is 8100. and as for wheel spin, it spun a little, but it was on drag radials

  • Oh Ok But it did seem like it went to 9,000rpms though. I thought that it might be an ITR because some people do lie about what they have in their car, so I was just suggesting that an ITR revs to 9Krpms, so I thought that it was an ITR. Also, I've heard that it's not safe to over rev your car all the time. Your engine only revs up to 8100, but kpro makes it 8600. Are you afraid that your motor might blow if you over rev it a lot?
