I really enjoyed the Philippine version. I'm a big fan of the original, and thought that Marian's Marimar was just as good as Thalia's. Now, as a heterosexual female let me just say that the Sergio in this version was "Ay papaya de celaya..que cachito!!".

Ahem. Now, in all seriousness, I think this version really elaborated more on the story. I think the villain was too overdone, but Marian's portrayal was delightful, and she's beautiful. Arriba Marimar y arriba los Filipinos!

I think remakes are still okay, it's not just the Filipinos... Koreanovelas have remakes and now American shows/movies have sequels and remakes... That are not so original either...

The plot changed a bit... And modernized, I left the Philippines when it was show, that's why I'm excited to see the new version...

sorry, pero she's not as gorgeous as the original marimar. anlaki ng eyebags nya. nakausli ngipin, halata pag naka-sideview. saka yung butas ng ilong nya, nakakailang. di rin kagalingan sa marimar dance.

yung marimar costume nya sobrang ikli at litaw ang cleavage. hindi naman ganun ang suot ni thalia but she's more adorable.

pero, infairness, maganda naman si marian. hindi ko lang maiwasang magcompare.
