i try to drag the max kinect stuff to the area where it says drop midi/audio effects and it doesn't do anything. sooooooooooo frustrated. someone help please
I can not map anything. It seems you have different M4L patches than I do. On the 'Max Kinect Dial' in your example tutorial there are 3 dropdown boxes to the left of the 'value' box, and under the 'map' and 'once' buttons. On the ones I downloaded there are none of these dropdown boxes, could this be the issue? - If you could maybe steer me in the right direction as to why I can't map I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance, and thank you for this wonderful software!!!!
@KristianGjerstad I've heard of people having this issue, and fixing it either by updating their version of Ableton or M4L, but I'm not sure of the details. Good luck!
@awwbees Thanks for the reply. I did the updates and everything is working just fine. So for anybody else who stumbles across this this great piece of software and can't initially get it working on a Mac, persevere, and the fruits will be plentiful!
Dude, could you help me, i can not get the dubkinect example file thingy to work.
i have synapse running, load dubkinect in adleton (30 day trial of latest version or atleast i assume so, it only says 8, doesnt say specific version) but when i move it doesnt do anything... /sadpandaface
@awwbees that wasn't the issue (i know how to press play thank you very much) but i needed to install an additional component (Max for Live) and when i got that it worked like a charm...
i wasnt as good as you tho, and it sounded really horrible when i did it....
I spent 6 hours setting this up last night and I love it (worth the time) never really used Ableton before so am working on it, but cheers mate. Your a dude.

@onlyseanmeier Logic doesn't have OSC support, so not really as easily as this. You could maybe combine Synapse with a program like OSCulator to convert the OSC messages from Synapse to MIDI messages that Logic can listen to.

@onlyseanmeier Hi, i've created a modular mapper that sends both MIDI and OSC messages allowing to control Live, Flash, Logic pro and other softwares in the same time, with many mappings functionnalities. Feel free to checkout "biKinect / mappInect" on my channel, i think that's what you're looking for.
i was playing wiht it for an hour then restarted my computer and the kinect wont even connect to me says calibrating lost user 1 ...then i tried faast to see if it was my kinect and it worked perfectly must be the software
i`ve already posted on maxforlive how amazing this is for me, but after i made first experiments i realized how big this revolution for live performances can be.
