Everything about this finale is perfect. From a jogging Nate's receding reflection in Claires rear view mirror, to the smile that Nate gives his mother right before she dies as if he is saying "It's ok to let go now". David, sitting with his new lover reflecting on the prime of his life, sees a young and healthy Keith, the love of his life and dies right after. A little comedic relief with Brenda's death, always being the shoulder for Billy to lean on. Just perfect 5/5
This is just so beautiful, it made me cry. There's never been an ending on a TV-show where we actually get to know what happends with them later in life. It's brilliant, and sad in a way. It's actually goodbye. This is the best show ever made, no doubt about it.
I don't cry during movies or TV but when Keith got shot it was over like as a guy we try to hide tears around other guys i was like i can't hide it...
abı sikmişim lost u heroes u prison break ı nıp tuck u falan benım ıcın en ıısı six feet underdı hele su fınalı oldurduydu benı nsl ozluyom yemın ederım cnbce tekraraını yayınlasa keske yoksa gıdıp 5 sezonunu alcam kendım tekrar tekrar ızlemek ıcın
Nothing as ever managed to actually bring tears down my face except for Six Feet Under. The whole episode dealing with Nate's funeral and this finale. Nate running behind the car gets me everytime.
This was and still is the best show on television. This is also the best series finale so far. I do believe that this show didn't get the recognition that it deserved. Perhaps it was too ahead of its time and wasn't understood by many people. People cannot wrap their heads around a show that deals with real life and death. Kudos to HBO for having the insight and courage to air it. The show is sorely missed by many people.
This clip's emotional journey is the most thoughtful and best conceived 6 minutes TV has ever offered up. A fitting end to a series that elevated television drama to a level that should be remembered and, hopefully, emulated for years to come.
It's gratifying to read the comments of others and realize I'm not alone in my praise for this show and it's creators.
Awesome show!!!!! me & girlfriend loved watching it together. we went sightseeing the other day, & I actually got to take her past the actual "Fisher House" earlier this week. its off Adams Blvd - West L.A. area.
WoW. I've got to say that this series got to me more than any other television show has ever before. These charactors where as familiar to me as some of my own friends . . . and this last 10 minutes of the series finalie moved me more than anything in recent pop-culture history. Its as if I just watched each of my best friends die. Powerful.
The final season is the best.the final episode made me cry several times. It's amazing how this series unconsciously makes you reflect on your own life, you loved one -diseased or not. This is so moving and emotional. Best stuff I've ever seen on screen. I got to love all the characters in the end, they're all so brilliant. Nate looks like an angel. Almways remember his smile. Btw what is that song ?
Oh man I like cried for two days. But during this sequence, man I cried like a crazy person with the screetching and gasping for air. It was like watching each of my family members die. Freaking beautiful. The best show I've ever ever seen.
The finale was just brilliant. Lauren Ambrose, looking in her side mirror and seeing Nate running after her, then letting the small cry out...fucking beautiful.
This had to be the most intense and dramatic series ever. To end it so simply with such vivid colors and a modern (design) look was as Claire drove into the future was brilliant!!!
With all the crap on tv today why can't we have more shows like this. This was brilliant tv. You realize that reason that Nate says that she can't take a picutre of the family on the stairs is because the entire show has been about Claire on her deathbed looking back at her life. It is sad to see that she never has kids and out lives everyone she ever knowed. Thank you for going out in style and leaving me once again just going WOW!!
I saw this finale monday night it completly broke me down- my best friend was having a life threatening surgery tuesday morning with a 50/50 chance.- It just seemed like all the things I saw were taken from my thoughts- I truly felt like a part of the show- as wierd as that sounds- It was just like life and death itself Beautiful- Note: My best friend did make it she is a true fighter- I'm glad we've been given more time together-:)
I loved this song before I saw the finale, but now whenever I hear it I think of this scene and just cry. I didn't even realize how much I loved every one of these characters until this scene, and it just breaks me every time.
I am still amazed at the effect this had on me and my wife. Amazed still now, years later.

To me it was like they made seasons 6,7,8,9,10, and so on, then compressed them into 6 minutes.

What a fabulous serie. 3 years I'm following it and today this is the end.
Watching in loop this ending and crying.
I've seen the 4 last episodes today. Complettly in the Ficher's familly mood now.
Was a Mc Do 15 minutes ago looking at grand parents with their grandkids...
Looking at the world in a different way.
Thanks for these fabulous moments.
So sad it is the end but ... "6 feet under" had to end like we all do.
