From what I remember I used to be a theistic evolutionist but it was really because of that comfortable zone when you do not really care for the details. The weird thing about theistic evolution is that God becomes really smal and passive. You have to wonder why a god would choose evolution when it could do what the creationists claim. Why a 4.5 billion y old Earth and countless extinctions? Why men only recent? What god was doing?
how should Leviticus or Exodus etc etc not b interpreted literally? I understand that by "not to b taken literally" u mean, it should b interpreted for a lesson to b learnt. What lesson is to b learnt from Leviticus 24:16? from Deuteronomy 21:21? from Exodus 21:29? The bible is simply incoherent. do we reject passages cos they don't apply to us? do we nitpick what suits us? Also 1 example, if apostles were inspired by god who is perfect, how do the number of angels change in christ's tomb?
I am a theistic evolutionist (Roman Catholic and Chemist).
The people that have a problem with the evolutionary theory are literalists (such as those that take the bible literally word-for-word). Unfortunately, it is those groups that are the loudest in the political atmosphere.
hey that's cool. i am also a theistic evolutionist and roman catholic as well.
i myself am an ardent scholar who fiercely searches for more knowledge. you don't even understand how hard i've slaved over the theories i've established in respects to theistic evolution. i would say you could make a book from my compiled notes and findings.
well, nice to know there's a fellow theistic evolutionary catholic out there (a smart one too)
There is no inherent conflict between an evolutionary cosmos and Vedanta. There has also been comparison between the avatars of Vishnu and Darwin's Theory of Evolution, as the incarnations generally mirror increasing phylogenetic sophistication in keeping with the theory's proposal of terrestrial reptiles and mammals evolving from aquatic and amphibian life. Hindus thus do not see much conflict between creation and evolution.
Hey dude, you should fix your tags. "huh?" won't get you any hits :) put in relevant tags, like "evolution creationism Christianity theistic evolution god etc." That makes you pop up on the search engines. Good to see you making vids!

What exactly has not convinced you of the current estimates of the age of the universe?
You can't just state you do not believe it and expect people to take you serious. Where is the flaw in the physics? What did they overlook?
Your failure to understand how it works does not invalidate the results...

I'm probably not the first to say this but you look like Jesus.
