I'm not sure if O'Reilly won or not because he constantly talks over his guests (extremely annoying). But I do know that Paul's vision of off-shore balancing (look it up) is extremely popular with many Americans. It would signal a return to a balancing structure characterizing the United States as neo-isolationist, thus giving us a choice of whether or not to engage in middle eastern conflicts rather than the current structures which leave us no option.
