I think I'm both. I have no moons and I've been gaining weight steadily for about 6 years. That's how long I've been remarried by the way and believe me it has been a stressful ride! So yes I think this make total sense.
i know im not the liver or the overy,, but its hard between these two. my hands and feet"mainly hands only sometimes feet" get really cold to the touch. i use to really really get dissy when i was younger!! though i never feel like i have to go pee unless i have not gone for an entire day. i drink alot of water. so can i be a mix of bolth of these, if so how do i deal with it? i myself in mind dont feel stressed, but my body has symptomes of stress. should i work out heavely or lightely?
Hello I work for Knowledge House Publishers the book you are referencing to is "The Body Shape Diet" with the back-upbook, Nutrition Tests for Better Health.
He, can you clarify at 1.22 you say North Atlantic Kelp has T3 in it, you're getting natural T3 in the kelp. Is this T3 added? I'm aware that T3 is either bovine or porcine derived. I thought Kelp contained Iodine. Thanks
@Chaga2011 Hi Angelo, I personally like and have no problem using chaga, royal jelly, kelp and oregano oil and I have a personal interest in studying them, particularly chaga. Like Kevin later goes on to say the metabolic typing of Ingram can relate quite closely to Ayurvedic dosha typing which may be useful for some. I believe as a diagnostic tool it is greatly lacking in a number of areas and runs the risk of contributing to a further degeneration of symptoms generated by even a combo of types
loved the video, thank oyu so much kevin! i've been struggling with this for month not knowing the cause for my brain not working, no memory and no moons on my fingers either. and my body 's been craving exactly foods that he suggests, but i do keep binging on sugars and starch, my guess is because it raises my body temperature becasue of leukocitosis, but at least it speeds up metabolism
Ok, Now that we know we are thyroid type... what EXACTLY do we do to CORRECT it?????? Please advise.... I would like to know what to do..... Exactly.... Thanks!
I think that it's often a very shortsighted way of looking at a person and being able to gauge what is going on in their body. It's really important to maintain an open-mind to a variety of possibilities for the cause of disease, without labelling a metabolic type. The suggestion of individual symptoms that may bare no relation to one another- comprising a type is really a bit of a shortcut to understanding more intricate and personal manifestations.
Hi Rsaecbs, My name is Angelo and I work for North American Herb & Spice. We carry the products that Dr. Ingram talks about oregano, chaga mushroom, royal jelly, kelp, etc. These products balances the individual metabolic type. Everyone is a different type or a combination of these types. I would like to send you some information on the products we have so you have more information. Send me a message back with your address or give me a call at (847) 785-5485 M-F.
Not sure if it is all hype or what not. More confusing than anything plus I am sure after sitting through a lecture like this allot of folks leave scared also. Like one of the other posters I have symptoms from the different things he is talking about.
@Zippypo I definitely feel the same way. As soon as he says one thing about a certain type I think I'm that type, then he says something of another and I think I'm that type as well! I think this is interesting, but a very complex subject. I would like to know more though.
I don't know if I heard this right..Dr. Cass Ingram said for Thyroid types to consume more Oregano, Kelps, Seafood,Red Meat, Egg Yolk, Organic Milk, Raw milk,Dark Greens?.. Ditch the Starches?..Fresh Oregano or Oregano Oil??..Either way where can I get his book??..
I'm learning about this for the first time..So i have a question..Does race and ethnicity play a part in Metabolic types??.. Like for example, if your African American or Latina woman and most of the woman in your family have coarse/curly thick hair, big breast, big butt, big waist line, big belly, double chin does that mean we all are Thyroid types or even Pituitary?..Isn't it all genetics??.. I was just wondering..
Respond to this video... half moons at base of the nail that are white should be very easy to see at least a third a moon 3-8ths min.for gals, for guys to 3-4in wide... big as you could get it....
I SAW THE DOCUMENTARY "SIMPLY RAW" REVERSE DIABETES IN 30 DAYS.SO I TOOK THE CHALLENGE, EATING RAW GREEN FOODS HAS COMPLETELY HELPED AND CURED ME.I TRYED THE RAW FOOD DIET FOR 30 DAYS AND USED ORGANIC CAYENNE WITH SALADS,VEGETABLES AND FRESH JUICED VEGGIES AND MY DIABETES WAS REVERSED.ALSO MY HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND CHOLESTEROL LEVELS WENT BACK TO NORMAL.EVEN MY SKIN CLEARED UP I LOST WEIGHT AND MY EYESIGHT IMPROVED. IT FELT WONDERFUL TO SEE THE CHANGE RAW FOODS HAD IN MY HEALTH AND MY LIFE!
I find this incredibly interesting, but feel as though I belong to both groups. so diagnosiing myself by listening to Dr. Ingram and following hs guidelines can be tricky.
Totally feel there is merit and great insight to......and can say i am blown away at how much i just learned and was nurtured with undestanding!!! Thank-You Friend***Love and Gratitude
Yes there is something to this. I have been hypothyroid since I was eight. My normal body temp has always averaged 97 even on Synthroid. I have to wear socks to bed in the winter. I have been vegan the last month trying to lose weight to no avail. I don't think my meds are at an optimum level. I have been taking ashwaganda to help suppliment. I will be trying oregeno and kelp also.
A great majority of symptoms indicate I am Adrenal, though the only major exepsions are, I don't have a flat ass, and I ALWAYS have warm hands if I haven't been in a snowball fight or something.. They are always warmer than others, rare to meet someone with same temp or higher..??? What is that about? I mean, the thing about having to pee always, espesially in cold weather is exactly me, especially last winter.... but what about the hands? Can you have some major symptoms and others not at all?
I absolutley think a lot of what he is saying is valid. I have been working now for over a year on getting my body back to working properly. When I first started researching I thought it was Thyroid but the more I learned it seems to be more Adrenal or combination. Also Lymes disease can mimick a lot of both. I was tested for Lyme and was negative but I found out after that just like with thyroid testing, even though it appears normal or negative does not mean that you don't have it.
This was interesting. I have always had a body temp of around 96.5 and sometimes as lower as 95 and I have virtually no moons on in the nails of any of my fingers other than my thumbs. I was diagnosed with Hypothyriodism a year ago and have been trying to find more natural ways to deal with it. I'd be interested in find more about what Dr. Cass has to say about it.
wow fascinating. I feel like I'm really an adrenal type and my husband is a thyroid type. it's no wonder why we can eat the same way and I stay thin and he struggles w/ his weight. I am deff going to read up on what Dr. Cass Ingram. I really want to help my husband. He's frustrated with working so hard on his weight.
Excellent...! along with other studies, this puts all together nicely. I am a combo, which explains a lot. It also makes sense, they go hand in hand. Other organs can also get off balance from over compensating.
I've always had a lower body temperature than 98.6 ever since I became a vegetarian 25 years ago! I thought it was strange that when I feel like I have a fever and have been sick, my temperature is merely up to 99 degrees! So it's possibly a thyroid symptom? I thought maybe all vegans just had a lower body temp. I only weigh 100 lbs and am 5'4" tall, and I am thin no matter what I eat. How can I have such a high metabolism and still have a low thyroid ? Is that possible?
Makes Sense - metabolic typing. Not sure how scientifically valid it may be in terms of treatment for disorders..but for diet it's seems a sound enough place to start. I'd check out the information further.
This describes me to a tee!!..Calling doctor tomorrow for appointment.
