hi everyone, i've recenlty started to make a lets play of the witcher, so if you guys could check it out and give me some advice comments and feedback that would be really helpful
@Seirios86 they were kind of bad, make sure you update to the Enhanced edition as everything is better on it, you have 3 camera choices you can change on the fly in options, I find the lower isometric and manually controlling it works quite well.
This game is epic! Witcher 1 has great graphics and awesome soundtrack.I am waiting for Assasin Of Kings. I hope Witcher 2 will be as good as first or better. Greetings form Poland :)

@TearsOfWar1 I don't know really. As of now The Witcher 2 is looking to have beautiful graphics and I think Gerald is awesome but the framed narrative story that spans for 10 years and character customization that Dragon Age 2 will have will be pretty awesome too. I'm getting both for sure to be fair.
@TearsOfWar1 I haven't tried either of them yet I will try the demos on steam if they have any the combat looks a lil dull for me but hey its an RPG I love their stories.
@TearsOfWar1 Played The Witcher 1 and Dragon Age 1 and well, The Witchers story was 10 000 times better than DAs, but overally i liked DA a bit more...but im quite sure that The Witcher 2 will be better than DA2, but as you im gonna get both...that if i can afford em both cause the main priority this year is Duke Nukem Forever.
@DeatgMagnet I don't think Witcher is as well written or fleshed out, but IMO I'm with you as to me it was more interesting.. the character itself to me is up there with Duke as the most badass game characters of all time. DA2 was crap compared to the first so unless the witcher 2 makes some serious mistakes along the way, it's certain to be the superior game, I can't wait.
@jkessler410 Yes, DA2 was a huge letdown. DA: O was pretty awesome...DA2...i dunno. Doesnt even go into my top 15 RPGs. All i hope is that The Witcher 2 remains true to its first game, but yeah, Geralt obviously is a badass and i especially love the fact that he is neutral since i always played Neutral Human Ranger in BG, ID and NWN.
who the fuck is responsible for the voice acting in this? they need to shoot him , hire someone else, and re-do all the voice acting ASAP! or it's a fukin waste of what otherwise looks like a seriously impressive game
one thing i hate about this game is how unrealistic the voices are. What i mean by that is it just seems like the people are reading lines, they dont even seem to be putting any effort into making the game more realistic. The whole point of a RPG is the storyline, if you cant dive into the story line the game goes to waste. Even though the gameplay might be great if you cant connect with the characters or the story line there isnt a point in playing. That's a game killer isnt it? I think so
@MoglersS Did u play The Witcher ? The voice actings were more real than in most of the games and i belive they will be in Witcher 2 too. Its alpha version you see here.
I like how he said that; "pure blooded rpg", pure immersion, story, deep characters with customization and non linear story! Problem is its practically black and white, not particularly artistically either, which seems to be a growing trend in modern games :(
Panowie twórcy gry, słyszeliście o białym śpiewie? Angielski Wiedźmin brzmi jak amerykański japiszon. I co to ma być szkolenie Seals? Ale jak Amerykanie za to płacą. Myślę, że szybciej można zarobić na sprzedając naszą kiełbasę niż amerykańskie hamburgery. Przerywniki nie powalają tak jak warcraftowe :( Jak na polski produkt to fajna ale chyba nie o to chodziło.
Super gra !!! Piekna grafika. Pierwsza czesc mi sie bardzo podobala a ta jeszcze bardziej. To jest wersja Alpha ale i tak sie super prezentuje a tak wogole to wie ktos kiedy jest premiera

The Gerald's voice is too delicate for witcher. In the Sapkowski's books we've got descriptions of Gerald's voice. It sounds metallic and hard, just like in the first part of game.

@KonradKyo It's the beta of the game. They firstly develop the game, after that they start with voice acting. The old Gerald will be there, don't worry. The voice that you see here is the developers voice, just to be for the presentation.
@simfamSP Well, I found it to be quite generic. Boring exploration, tedious fights. Plot could've been more interesting. Maybe it is because it is just a story related to the books, which had a great story, so I am biased here. The story in the game was...well, quite mediocre imho.
@MrChadthemonkey Not true. And I agree with simfamSP, this is a rpg based on Polish folk tales. Don't know which version of history you know, but my knowledge is quite certain - there were no black people in Polish territories of the past, lol.

Don't worry mate, in a FAQ the studio director said that does was in no case the final voiceacting. In fact, voice here are the own of the witcher creators that put some voices just to do testing.
So its overall a good voice if you think it not a professionnal actor :-)
Remember guys, this is an alpha version !!! This means this not even close to what the final version will look, this is still very early developement stage ! Which gives lots of hope on The Witcher 2 :-)
the witcher is the greatest game i ever played ... it had a positive impact over my life ... now i am more carefull with my actions ... because i am scared of the repercusions ... and i learned all this in the witcher please dont cancel producing the witcher 2 ... :((
I don't know. It is a long time, but look now at Dragon Age and you will see a graphic that doesn't come near to Witcher's, which is a 2 years and something old game.

everything you said is 100% correct. im from england, and i got a pc last september for £800. it plays everything on max specs, even games comming out now, and it does it so easily its awesome.
a ps3 is £350 roughly. and by the time u got extra controllers ect, lets say £450. but you cant do 1/2 the things a pc can, and pc games are cheap.
more importantly, pc games get modded, extending theyre life.
anyway, i loved the witcher, cant wait for this one! looks like me2 + DA

No. Witcher for consoles was canceled. AoK will be continuation of first game and will be released on PC and probably on PS3 and X360 too.

Don't worry mate, in a FAQ the studio director said that does was in no case the final voiceacting. In fact, voice here are the own of the witcher creators that put some voices just to do testing.
So its overall a good voice if you think it not a professionnal actor :-)
Remember guys, this is an alpha version !!! This means this not even close to what the final version will look, this is still very early developement stage ! Which gives lots of hope on The Witcher 2 :-)

I don't know. It is a long time, but look now at Dragon Age and you will see a graphic that doesn't come near to Witcher's, which is a 2 years and something old game.

Your speling and grammar is abhorrent. As for "gragon age" and it's terrible graphics im gonna say you only played the console version correct? Well you get what you pay for with those half assed consoles. Not to say that a good PC is that expensive anyway.($800 is a fortune right?) everything you said is 100% correct. im from england, and i got a pc last september for £800. it plays everything on max specs, even games comming out now, and it does it so easily its awesome.
a ps3 is £350 roughly. and by the time u got extra controllers ect, lets say £450. but you cant do 1/2 the things a pc can, and pc games are cheap.
more importantly, pc games get modded, extending theyre life.
anyway, i loved the witcher, cant wait for this one! looks like me2 + DA
