It is a problem, but I'd rather temporarily solve the issue by placing the phone elsewhere. It is a shame that such problems exist with high end devices, but there is only so much they can do with signal interference. I am glad they showed interest in fixing it, which is the more important thing.
We have a number of clients saying the same thing. It's not an isolated problem. At least it will now get resolved as there is plenty of evidence to support this.

It happens when the phone is about 2ft from drive. I leave the phone in another room nearby and that's ok. Still no information or solution yet

Yes, apple phoned me yesterday without me even contacting them. First time they have been this keen to investigate a problem!
