People need to stop jumping all over this person for their reaction to this landing. True, it was a normal crosswind landing, in heavy winds. BUT, it isn't something you see everyday,and understandable that some may have been "scared", or "surprised" by it.

Standard crosswinds landing if you ask me. No big deal, I do them every day and thankfully not infront of screaming women making such a big deal of it.
What's the big deal? It was a standard "wing low" or sideslip crosswind correction method. It is used all the time, although perhaps not to that extent. Clearly, it was well within the capabilities of the aircraft and aircrew, and was thus, nothing to worry about. Imagine that. Pilots who actually know what they are doing. :rolleyes:

its a normal technique used.. side slip.... the 717 is a fantastic airplane and from the looks of it, the pilot did fine.

Standard crosswinds landing if you ask me. No big deal, I do them every day and thankfully not infront of screaming women making such a big deal of it.

What's the big deal? It was a standard "wing low" or sideslip crosswind correction method. It is used all the time, although perhaps not to that extent. Clearly, it was well within the capabilities of the aircraft and aircrew, and was thus, nothing to worry about. Imagine that. Pilots who actually know what they are doing. :rolleyes:
