  • On January 4, 1984 my beloved wife and I placed our two angelic daughters into a capable, loving home. We were unable to continue, do to a recent Round loss to Uncle Samuel. I went home and listened to this song for over six hours, until I had rid myself of the last tear.

your dad aint dead...he's hiding...you poor old cunt

  • This, and Neil Young's 'Old Man'...I dont know that I could listen to both in the same week,...or month. Timeless.

  • Im in tears

  • I remember the day of Judy's Dad's funeral. Traffic in East Denver ground to a halt to let the procession pass. Chuck Collins was a legend in Denver broadcast history, despite being blind since childhood. As a studio musician at the Caribou Ranch in the mountains west of Boulder, I had the opportunity to meet this amazing woman. She is just as gentle and kind as the music she performs. I feel greatly blessed to have met her and to have lived in that time

  • I remember the Day of Judy's Dad's funeral. All of the traffic in East Denver ground to a halt so that the enormous funeral procession could pass. Later as a studio musician at Caribou Ranch, in the foothills above Boulder, I got to meet this unbelievable woman. She was as gentle and sweet a soul as she seems on her recordings. I feel genuinely blessed for having known her.

  • used to strum a guitar and sing this song b4 i was 5.....great memories....

  • One of the best songs...EVER...thank you Judyxxxooo

  • thanks for posting this, betahifi.

Love how she rephrases the the melody.

  • She sings this purposely so I remind myself of the loss of my dad. I listen to it once a year because twice would break me. Thanks Judy.

  • this mortal coil 1986

  • @ABTE67 I love the studio recording in the original album. "Who Knows Where The Time Goes".........Steven Stills play rhythm guitar on a few cuts including one of her finest songs, "The First Boy I Loved" on the same album which was awesome.........I play this for my daughters, 15 and 11, and remind them of our the two trips we have taken to Europe already and the loveliness of the French culture. We will go again soon. Those who think that the French hate Americans just don't have the facts.

  • This song just kills me every time; it is one of the moments of rarest beauty from the 1960s.

  • She is a genius with an beautiful loving heart. God has blessed us with her being.
