i have spina bifida, cant walk, and to be honest really dont feel the need to, life in a wheelchair isnt a bad thing by any means, if youre prepared to grab life by the b******s and not let the chair be an obstacle, there are wheelchairs for all kinds of situations these days and if youre like me you dont get embarassed about things like bum shuffling upstairs in public (people walking up behind can just wait and like it lol) but, each to their own, if you want to leave the chair behind,,,,,

I am 16 yrs old and i have SB too...I cant walk at all. i can only stand with braces and thats it. someday i hope i can be able to walk but i seriously doubt it...Keep up the good work sweetie.

i have Spina Bifida. i was able to walk when i was 18 months old. but then i broke my femur. i was in a full body cast for 24 months i lost the strenth to walk during those 24 months in a cast. i had to relearn to walk. now i am 12 years old. i can walk just fine now but, i have to sit out of lots of P.E. activities at school
