  • Hi. I am working on Ilonggo Folk song, if you do have more of this, please let me know. your reply will be highly apperciated thanks.

  • @astonishme Glad to know you are working on Ilongo Folk song. So far this is the only one I got. Try to contact Counselor Victor Maroma of Cabatuan, Iloilo for a written copy of Ilongo Folk Songs. His late father has a collection of those. Let me know if you need more help. Goodluck and God bless you!

  • @polos4th Thanks for pointing out the lyrics I missed. Please check again the video info which I just updated and corrected. It will be great if you can also create a video of the same song with exact guitar accompaniment. I am presently contemplating of writing a spiritual book based on they lyrics of the song. I'm sorry for my late reply! Kamusta lang kanimo kag bendisyonan ikaw sang Mahal nga Diyos!

  • sa bato naga-ilig ang matin-aw nga tubig. you miss this lyrics

  • Papu ganda naman ng kanta mo ah! I love you!- Kiel

  • @aalisah444 Thank you Isah & Kiel. I sang that song while taking a walk and a pause to take a view of the mountain, to ease moments of missing Mamu so much, during that time when I was still all by myself here in McCloud. It is said that love can do the impossible. I am not that good in singing, but the love in my heart for Mamu Marl made me sing that beautiful Ilongo love song. We love you both & our family! God bless us always and keep us safe.

  • In the town of Cabatuan, Iloilo where I grew up since I was 8 months old, the river of life keeps flowing, the waters of the Tigum, and they came from the springs - "tuburan" of the not so far flung Maasin mountains...When I was small and playful, we used to go there with my playmates, almost every day...to bathe and enjoy walking by its sides, collecting spiders for spider game fight on a coconut stick and when its time to go home to pass by the guava trees & pluck ripe fruits to munch...

  • In the Gospel of St. John, water is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. Each one who is baptized is reborn in water and in the spirit. Being in love with one's beloved, with life, with art, with music is also like a baptism, a wellspring of joy and beauty, in a rainbow of hope, in the world of great adventure in faith, a person is reborn to a zest for life beyond one's deepest longings, dreams and desire! Life becomes more meaningful, deeply felt and celebrated in all the sweetness and blessedness!

  • The Ilongo people of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines are noted for their gentle soul and romantic spirit. I grew up in this culture of kind people and luxurious in their joy and celebration of love and life. As Ilongos we deeply love our women and to sing a song to express that love is taking a step further in love and care for that special person in our lives. Special thanks to the author of the lyrics Tuburan as Ilongo love song - Maestro Restituto Ratilla.

  • This 2 Ilonggo songs DALAWIDAW IKAW and Ang Tuburan was composed by my great- grandfather Maestro Restituto Ratilla.-thank you posting.

  • Love is also akin to a real mystical experience of discovering the joy and meaning of one's life in expressing love through a story of love echoed by a love song. Tuburan, is an Ilongo song which upon deep prayer and contemplation of it can echo the same sentiments and mysticism of the biblical book, The Song of Songs...
