How I wear the Maxi Skirt For spring/Summer 2011

Loving how you give your maxi skirt that sophisticated edge with boyfriend blazer. How would you suggest you keep the maxi look relevant in winter months, when it's a bit too chilly for just a blazer?

what if you're short? I'm just 5 feet tall and about 10lbs over weight and I always have a hard time with dresses because they are either 2 short or 2 long. I always read that I should keep things at knee length. Does wearing maxi skirts/dresses make short people look shorter? I'm so glad I found this channel! And I think the glasses look cute.

@chinychock Hey hun, i'm short myself i'm barely 5'1 and I wear maxi skirts and maxi dresses all of the time!!!but alot fashion experts say keep things above your knee if your short, but i dn't listen to that. It's all about what you like on you,but tailoring is key and many times it's pretty cheap =) when you get your clothes tailored they look ten times more expensive and put together =) so whenever you buy a dress or skirt you really love but seems too long for you just get it hemmed.

I bought two maxi skirts from body shop(body central to most) for only 6.99 each. One is fitted and one has a shark-tail hem. I was actually on the hunt for a chic midi dress so I used the fitted maxi skirt as a dress with a boyfriend blazer on top. It was exactly what I was looking for. Maxi skirts are so versatile even on my 5'3 frame. Great vid!

I have this maxi skirt! I bought it a few weeks ago for $10, I was amazed when I saw it! I would wear it with a denim vest and white tshirt, or a grey or white blazer with a cute tank top underneath. There are so many ways you can wear a maxi skirt, especially this one! Nice outfits you chose, I like the belts. :)

I liked both looks! I love the maxi skirts/dresses trend this season -- the looks are so ladylike and flattering, IMO. Speaking of H&M, I bought a floral maxi skirt just last night there for only $10. I plan to pair it with an olive green tank I bought at Target (the Mossimo micro rib tanks are a great deal) and a tan, ruffled jacket I bought at TJ Maxx with some wedge sandals. Now if the weather would just cooperate. . .

@erickabanana hey hun! you know i've said that about a lot of trends lol for example when pointed shoulder blazers came out i was like that is not it!!! lol but then i tried it on and i liked it, so the moral here is the things that you dislike the most once you try it on may turn out to be your favorite piece in your wardrobe, so try everything on even if you may think you may hate, you may just love it or you may just really hate it lol nothing beats a failure but a try =)
