  • sigh.. i'm almost crying..

  • Luckily Routemasters are still around. Streatham may have seen the last of them but that does not mean they have been wiped off the face of the earth. In central London they are still to be seen.

  • Yes, there are 2 Heritage Routes in Central London, No.9 and No.15, but only running in daytime and once in quarter an hour.

159 was the last regular service route. Herigate Routes will be abolished if not very many people use.

  • I much prefer them. I hate to be locked into a bus. I once missed a wedding because of being locked into a bus that was stuck in a traffic jam and the driver refised to open the door.

  • Ken Livingstone firstly encouraged to revive old Routemasters, but he had to follow silly EU regulations which demands disable facilities and so on. So he started to introduce more dangerous Bendy buses, which caused several fire accidents as you know.

The remaining Heritage Routes are always rather empty, as the routes are shorter than the regular one and not very attractive routes for tourist. So I don't know how lond do they last.
