Sonic Generations: Speed Highway Act 2

I really wish this level was longer than it actually is, its my favorite level of the entire game (maybe even the entire franchise), and I honestly feel that they should've given this one more than 2 acts, let alone the other levels. Every time I play Generations though, this is the stage I keep going back to, so that feeling is nice enough...BUT THEY STILL SHOULD HAVE DONE MORE!!!!

To think, Sonic went to Speed Highway because he was searching for Amy after he lost her in Twinkle Park. If she was anywhere in the first 40 seconds of this video, Sonic would have sped straight past her without even realising she was there

At 1:55, if you time it correctly, you can jump back on the rocket and it'll take you to the loop just before the goal ring. Nice run, though.

Also, I'm probably the only person who actually reads omochao's hints at the loading screen, but i remember him saying something about being able to get onto a rocket even after you've ridden it already. so maybe that's possible to do with the same rocket at 1:56?

@AzureBlade49 hey do u run into alot of control faults when doing speed runs, i get glitches where boost flings me off course. stomp n end up facing opposite direction. sometimes sonic fails to jump.

I dunno if I have the same nostalgia for this act of the game as I do for Chemical Plant and City Escape, but this game certainly does hold a certain place. As far as getting a good time on the stages, I think at one point I clocked at 28 on City Escape the day the game came out, but I've since been bumped back to the 200s... still respectable, but not 'da best'

Anyway, when I first heard about this stage being included in the game, I thought they were referring to /Radical/ Highway, even though SA2 already had a stage in the form of City Escape here. My surprise when I realized it actually meant this awesomeness from the first Adventure.

@CrayzMario64 Go to the skill shop and buy extra lives for 500 points. Completing missions will usually net you 300-500 points per run and they're usually only a minute or two long.

Only thing I don't really like about this game is how fast paced the modern stages are, it's not a bad thing to give the player time to think about what they're doing, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 gave you time to think, and those games were awesome, I'm watching vids of this game and sometimes I have to rewind just to see what happened.

@Hwarming It's only fast paced if you choose to do so. You can go pretty slow, never use the boost period, and still get an S rank in this game. I believe the only reason that the stuff for super hyper fast paced gameplay is for people like me who love to go that fast.
