Does anyone know where this video was taken from? It appears to be a press conference and looks like a response to a reporters question. If so I would be interested in the question to know the full context.
Notice how Eyring pats himself on the back, right up front (at 0.12), and stutters, while doing it. (In re: some guy named Wheelright, in Hawaii, who was "under Eyring's authority, in the latter's bid to write a doctoral thesis and/or dissertation).
And, everybody thought nepotism was dead, within the Mormon Crutch?
(And, everyone though people like Eyring couldn't pat themselves on the back?)
Remember Paul H. Dunn?
He almost broke his own back, from patting it, for so long!)
If You honestly dont think that these Men are Men of God, then You haven't thought about it long enough! LoL... Alma32:27 "Yea, if Ye can no more than desire to believe"!
While you are at it, just keep repeating the Uncle Boyd (Packer) mantra:
"A testimony is had, in the bearing of it A testimony is had, in the bearing of it A testimonkey is had, in the bearing of it."
Or, in other words, keep on faking it, pal, until you "make it".
(Or, keep on acting like a pig who thinks it can fly: while it continues to "desire" so strongly, that it goes on jumping from that roof and flapping its...hooves.)
@GohModley Take your foul language elsewhere...Henry B. Eyring is a great man who is a lot smarter than most people...especially those who cannot think of any other words to say, but a bunch of swear words. GO GET AN EDUCATION then we'll listen to you. By the way, choking up is not a sign of weakness.
I'll agree with what you said if you can find me a single Conference talk in which Eyring does not blubber all over his hushpuppies. The guy's a pussy, just admit it.
@GohModley You are right about the conference talks, but does that really matter. Having deep convictions of personal experiences that cause emotional responses shows his own commitment to what he knows to be true in his heart. Those who call people names for getting choked up, I feel pitty for. But, You are entitled to your opinion. And nothing I say will change your mind. All I ask is, Please refrain from calling a man I respect names, using foul language.
That is the whole point! The Bible takes "the foolish and simple" and God uses them. The MORMON CRUTCH takes egg-head business-school professors, like Eyring, to do their own work: God cannot use a blowhard, like that!
(Eyring even pats himself on the back, at around 0.12, in the video: notice that he somehow feels "threatened", so he pats himself on the back, saying that he was the one overseeing this Wheelright dude, in Hawaii.
to all those who have doubts i strongly urge to comunicate with the lord he will make it known unto you member or not the power of pray is possed by everyone
I have a question. Do you get anything out of telling people how wrong they are? Do you feel good from doing this? What do you honestly get from proving people "wrong". Brother I can honestly tell you that I know with all my heart that this is true. I am a convert to the church and I have seen miracles. I served a mission and saw the same miracles. How can anyone deny this? There is no power on earth that can make me deny this. That is just how I feel
Well, it is your Leader-Dogs who have "watered the whole thing down". Heck, they have turned on that garden hose, and HOSED it down!
Calling themselves "prophets"
Calling themselves "seers"
Calling themselves "revelators"
They are just BigTurd Leader Dogs: nothing more and nothing less.
P.S: "NO" ancient prophet was ever a "leader-dog". They did NOT lead. And, IF a man prophesied, he was a prophet. None of this "name-tag nonsense" (with or without the actual name tag).
The decisions of this council have to be unanimous. Even though it appeared that the council had come to a decision, the President of the Church "sensed" that they had in fact not come to a decision. This is revelation: the Holy Ghost prompting one in the discharge of important duties. It is available to all those called to serve in the Church. I know as it has happened to me hundreds of times. The Lord is guiding his Church, I know it to be true. Sorry you feel to call this man, Pathetic.
It is easy to sit at a computer and criticize others without recourse. It is much more difficult to be open to think about topics in ways you had previously not considered. Perhaps if you knew President Eyring you would not feel that way. Anyway. if you have any questions about what we believe, please contact me and I would be more than happy to discuss :)
Faith is the key of all "problems". If there is any doubt, question or fear, simply ask the Lord, with faith and trust He hears and asweres you, and you will know the truth by the Holy Ghost! I promise you that! :)
There is life only in Jesus Christ and nothing else.
We are suficient in Him.
BIBLE: Matt 23: 5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 6And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, 7And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. 8But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ
I am ready to discuss both topics with you. I love it when people have questions.
First, what is your question regarding Section 132?
Second, the scriptures are full of references to Grace (and mercy as they are one and the same). On the first day of the restoration of the Church, the beliefs of the church as received thus far were set forth. D&C 20:31-33, details that we believe in Grace.
The first chapter ends in v.21 with Nephi talking about how he will show that the Lord's tender mercy is over all those whom he has chosen. Moroni ends the Book with talking about how we are saved by Grace. All the major prophets in that book: Mormon, Nephi, Alma, King Benjamin, Lehi, Moroni and so forth talk about the concept of Grace.
Our Church believes that without Christ's atonement we will not be saved. It is through His Grace that we are saved. There is nothing we can do to remove our sins from ourselves. Only the Atonement can do this.
@HoffDesign Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16.

CORRECTION: "And, everyone thought people like Eyring couldn't possibly pat themselves on the back."
Hmmm! I wonder what Jesus would do?
Well, BigTurds, like Eyring, have long ago stopped wondering what Jesus would have done: they think, rather, about what Joseph Smith would have done.
And, the answer is "YES. Smith, Jr. would approve of me, now!"

Here is EYRING'S chance to see how the Lord works, within a Stanford-like U.S. CORPORATION, with special privileges, beyond the 501(c)(3) status!
Brilliant, you lame excuse for a man, Cue-ball Eyring!
Now, I know--without a shadow of a doubt--that bald-headed freaks like U, Eyring, believe that the Mormon God has a name! And, His name is....
CORPORATE-MAN of HOLINESS! (For, "Corporate Man" is His name)
Eyring, you are a business-school Leader-Dog: nothing more & nothing less!

Classic groupthink in action. He sees a demonstrable facet of social psychology and thinks it's a miracle. What a dope.

@smackmesideways I laugh at the way we LDS have watered down words like "miracle" or even "prophet, seer, and revelator" for that matter.

Are you ready to discuss D&C 132 and compare with God of Bible.
If LDS is "modern" revelation then at least when God is address us through scripture it would be filled with New Testament GRACE.
This is a HUGE red flag.
I love you, I hate deception.
Jesus Christ is sufficient.
If we agree, why keep fighting?
Mans religion contains no oil. (mans perception of Gods expectations)
Relationship with God in you...is the oil that fuels His light. Nothing more.
