  • @olipalli1: Dicks.

  • does he look like inspector gadget or what (movie version)

  • Each just one pixel in size?

    You idiots....

A photo detector in an array is ALWAYS one pixel in size no matter the size...

40D CMOS chip has pixels of 3,5 Microns in size

Vesta Pro CCD chip has pixels 5,6 Microns in size

This artificial failure has pixels 50 Microns in size

They're all 1 pixel in size...

Stop preaching science you morons, go over to religion, it suits you better.

  • @Cityj0hn pixels are small o.O

i bet they know what you said but they added the "just one pixel" part to make every idiot (that doosent know what you do) think that it is like the pixels they see on the computer..(the point of that being- it makes us idiots think it is advanced)

    makes it more show-e-off-e

  • This is unbelievable!! First feet, then hands, then eyes... whats next!. The future looks good!!

  • @olipalli1

A bionic stomach, that decreases its size at a click of a button, to compact all the food together, then decreases to its normal size. Allowing more room for food you want to eat to go... it is actually being created right now at a research facility.

  • @goofygooberaustin O.O as i said before the future is gooood

  • awesome video, but the narrator is very annoying

  • ah, mother

  • the beggining of Ghost in the shell...

  • be awesome if you can switch it to infrared or night vision to see in the dark

  • @madmandan5 they r dudee

  • Go find the DNA computer guy that was so, OMG! That guy is probably better at stuff nowadays. They have the IBM DNA computer next to their 2 million dollar chips. Where did that 90's dude go?

  • we can rebuild them...we have the technology

  • My vision is augmented

  • I'll be one of the first in like for actual augs. I've never been afraid of technology and this is no exception. Forget the older generations calling this stuff the 'mark of the beast' and all that, it's called human enhancement. Grow the fuck up, get augs!

  • So long, One-Eyed Willie, so long..! :P

  • Sign me up.

  • Deus Ex! YEAAH!

  • What if... you have 2 eye patches?

  • excellent

  • man were gonna end up like ghost in the shell society.

  • @hypoelectron Transhumanism, Its coming..

  • what would happen if you used that type of lens on a camcorder , im sure cause of the surve it would allow more light in but what else?

  • does it has bluetooth ? :D

  • thats great but only the rich blind people will be able to have it wont they

  • @carlwal01 Yes, like everything else thats how it starts. If you believe in a free market, you better thank those rich people for buying ridiculously expensive things to lower the cost that we now, as regular people, buy.

  • @Stizogm That's not quite how it works... Things start ridiculously expensive because they're ridiculously expensive to make. But they make them because there exists the market of wealthy people that can afford it. Even with that market though, it's still in the sellers best interest to reduce production costs, bring down the price, and broaden his customer base. The issue is, not every one can be super rich. And progress like making the blind, see, shouldn't be for the rich only.

  • Terminator eye, here we go!

  • I see that Interceptor from Ghost in the Shell may become a real thing pretty soon!

  • What if we can have more than two eyes? that would be cool

  • The new eye implant is very cool. Interesting work on this.

  • can i connect it to itunes?

  • @Hyper6664 Yes, of course you can connect the iEye to iTunes.

  • @Hyper6664 no, but you can connect it to thepiratebay-dot-org

  • @ExilLarkdanx won't ANYTHING backfire if not "applied properly"?

The ice cream sandwich I'm eating right now tastes great. But if I stick it in my eye I'd probably go blind.

  • @iphoria win

  • HOLY! PAUSE AT 0:17

  • I can imagine having one of these.

  • if all body parts can be changed to super parts SIGN ME up

leave only the brain unless they can make a robot brain and transfer everything to that one

imagine having a hud when walking outside FUTURE is HERE!

  • @taltigolt you wouldnt want a HDD for a brain,or maybe you do. Just make sure they install a wifi network so I can control your limbs.

  • @taltigolt dont forget about penis... keep the penis where it is

  • @taltigolt i wouldn't try that.. nowadays people can hack into your car (the contemporary models) and remotely control them - turn, accelerate, break, and even disrupt the breaks when it's needed!

now, imagine how it'd be like when some hacks into your brand new iEye, iHand or iBrain - blinding you, moving your limbs, making you do things that you wouldn't even dare to do or even manipulating your thoughts! it could be used ingeniously to advertise(thought manipulation), but a creepy way to live

  • @taltigolt So basically, you want to become a robot?

  • @taltigolt

yeah, but if they would transfer everything, it would only be a copy of your mind, but not you.

its the same as making a clone.

  • @taltigolt Just hope they have Heads up displays, so when I'm low on health and on the verge of a heart attack, I can just use a medkit out of my inventory.

  • @taltigolt Even your COCK?

  • @EDDlEMEDUZA yea why not you can turn it on vibrate or tweak it

  • @taltigolt

what if the harddrive so to speak gets corrupted by a virus?

  • @billytim7 because of the adaptable nature of brains, this new generation of data storage device will be immune to any kind of code based viruses.

  • @taltigolt you'd be susceptible to EMP charges

  • @taltigolt I'd be worried about a robot brain. Imagine if it got hacked.

  • @HobbsO Bio cells already have hackers. Virus.

  • @PirateKing1256 No surprise there. I wonder how many people will use them to watch porn in public?

  • @HobbsO So if you get a porn virus. You will constantly have naked women pops up in vision.

  • @PirateKing1256 funny for past 12 years i only had flu!! Virus? damm maybe me eating garlic and lemon once in a while kills all hackers ? lol?

  • @taltigolt what about the penis and the vagina!?

  • @taltigolt careful, you might get a virus....

  • Well guys... Prepare yourself for jetpacks, teleports, robot body parts, invisibility cloaks,

robtos like terminator, aliens landing, super weapons (joyfull ones like LeichenFaust 44 in

wolfenstein) And ofcourse the good ol' Selfawarnes of robots ... Yeah... :D

  • even people with no vision mind what they wear and want to look good. vision is only one sense. if you walk in to a bus you may still smell that someone has bad breath, a guy is pushing you or the heat from all people. just had to get that off my chest

  • now put this in my dslr

  • im sure some horny nerd somewhere made one

  • Have they ever come out with the BIONIC PUSSY?

  • @ FATHERMitcheLL

    :P

    /watch?v=EaXfJtaJ7fQ

  • LOLZ!!

  • FUTURE HERE WE COME!!

  • you have one, walk by the microwave, aaah!!!!!

  • good enough for me! Where's the ice pick, I got to get rid of these pesky eyes.

  • Sweet, I was just thinking about this after playing around with my digital camera, and since I have to wear glasses, it was a cool thought that if we had bionic digital eyes we could see/read signs 100s of yards away.

Perhaps this new technology will fix that butchershop job we all call eyes. Surely anyone that has seen how the eye works will agree, it is really fucked up...

  • It wont replace glasses/contacts/lasik eye surgery but it is a great advancement in science for the blind...in due time we will have greater and greater innovations. I am truly amazed by this wonderful creation.

  • Agreed, but I mean years (50-200s maybe) in the future. The thought of what has been made within the last 200years should be a testament to our ability to make wonderful things.

    Maybe someday...maybe

  • @WoWJakfrost Sooner than you think. Think exponentially..the rate of technological progress constantly increases.

  • Would this also make it possible to make bigger accomodative lenses for cataract or younger people?

  • Whats a blind dude doing on Youtube?

  • blind and visually impaired are two different things.

  • lol......... cloud12311

  • @Cloud12311 Once I witnessed a blind man (complete with the white cane, sunglasses and guide dog) enter a Blockbuster and pick up videos.

  • good question.. ~

  • LOOK!!!!!!!!!

All the nonsense and selfishness aside. I myself am visually impaired, and until you live with it you will never understand how it feels. Technology like this gives people like me hope of being much more independant. Have you been around hundreds of blind and visually impaired individuals? Well, if not Shut Up with the negitvity. I attended school at MS School fot the Blind, so i kno first hand how blind people feel. STOP BEING SO SELFISH AND INGORANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • learn how to read JACKASS. i said visually impaired not blind

  • although i cant say i know how it feels... i did go an entire day without opening my eyes. some things that i thought would be difficult were actually easy. but some of the most basic things were impossible. it was a good learning experience.

  • No you look! Oh wait ^^

  • Living proof that the human body is becoming obsolete. Not long before people buy bionic limbs and eyes. I hope we can download info into the head like on the matrix.

  • The last part should had read,"Good Responsible Science is a Gift from God!" not "form" God.

YouTube you really need an edit feature!

  • Science is good if used properly & this is a Christain saying this, I'm all for helping people who are blind & disabled, One of my best friends is blind so if this can give him some kind of sight and let him be more independent then what is wrong with that? I suppose we should let people with disablities suffer? Wrong! God made those scientist smart & God works through others so you "Over the Top" people don't be so negative! Good Responsible Science is a gift form God!

    Peace to All.....

  • Umm god is too lazy to make the changes himself in the first place, so he makes people who are smart to make the changes instead, now that's some breath-taking logic.

  • Or there isnt a god...

  • Comment removed

  • If God wanted us to wear clothing, why did he make us be born naked?

  • This is all i have to say to relegious ppl survival of the fittest if you think god is gonna gonna make your decisions and help you cure cancer w/o any research than im sorry to tell you it hasnt happen so we have to make it happen he gives us the tools to solve problems we just have to use them.

  • Ahaha... Oh man.. religious people.

    xD

  • lol, why did God give us such crappy eyes then? Eyes which human scientists can improve...

But no, you're right God created every blah blah blah. God also created scientists, and gave them brains that seek out innovation and enlightenment.

If you have a problem with go ask the "author" to explain.

  • Fucking psychotic freak. Go kill yourself.

  • Way to completely miss what EmailJohnny was actually saying, yvaud.

Read his post again. He was in agreement with you. He stated that as technology gets better, it gets closer to the original Godly creation - thus he obviously meant that the original Godly creation was the state of perfection.

  • So the original Godly creation = the state of perfection. Bloodgod, with all due respect, is there an unoriginal Godly creation?

  • Interesting. More and more biotechnology is being invented. There's going to be a point in the future where we will become half human half machine. Alot of people are now but....I mean to enhance the body from what it is now.

  • very interesting

  • i hope it come out soon cuz my sister is losing her site in one eye

  • @hoodedsoulja18 Thats so sad :( I hope your sister gets better.

  • @hoodedsoulja18 SIGHT*

  • @hoodedsoulja18 it will take away

  • @hoodedsoulja18 what are you joey wheeler?

  • @hoodedsoulja18 Provided her eye still has her retina in tact.

  • @hoodedsoulja18 I hope she is doing well now = )

  • We got bionic eyes, arms, legs, ears, etc. Are we shaping our own future? We can produce whatever we need. Now imagine our civilization in the year of 3000...we are preparing ourselves to survive all obstacles. We will have the ability to colonize other planets if this planet dies. What if we will invent something extraordinary, that no one in the universe has ever invented yet?

  • NO IT DOES NOT. YOU ARE A fucking GULLIBLE MORON.

  • Sorry for that, I was high, and I was really scared... Sorry world...

  • come again? man that spelling gave me a headache :(

  • hey geuss what, this is NOT 200 years in the future, more like 15 years in the future.

  • quite impressive i wonder how high resolution it will offer, anybody know ?

  • Your question makes no sense naskot. Of course nobody can know how far any technology can possibly be developed. Try asking again and stating a time frame or asking more specifically about the wavelength and geometry.

You might then be able to do a calculation involving required sensor size and flexible join length for the curvature you require. a layered sensor array would obviously capture more info. so consider this too. there are fundamental limits set by wavelength and area

  • Sorry maybe I didn't make myself plain. I was wondered about version of this eye witch will be launch in near future (the first version they planing to put on the market and not some ultra science stuff in 200 years time ). Comparison to natural eye especially what make me curious, will it be better/worse that original thing? Thats why i asked about resolution, human eye has about 127milions photoreceptors and how much pixels artificial one will have ?

  • This is not a 200 year in the future physics. The limits are set by the required size of the photo receptors - which is determined by wavelength, and the length required in the joints for flexibility. work this out for 1 photon then multiply out to get the possible resolution over a curved surface. Sorry I do not know what this company will produce in the near future, but we can get some sense of what is possible by applying some physics and maths.

  • And now lets celebrate for Wikipedia, the source who made this discussion real.

  • this is great news!

  • what does that mean?

  • Awesome, closer to bionic implants! =)

  • How long before humans are able to interface with a computer merely by thinking?

How long before electronic telepathy is a reality?

How long before our natural mathematical musical, creative, physical abilities are amplified exponentially through via a direct interface with technology?

  • As our interface with technology increases, we will become less enamored with triumphs of the senses like music, and more interested in mathematical anomalies and exponential equations.

Kidding, we'll be trippy psychedelic art-loving computers who sing along with our on-board MP10 files with built-in surround-sound iPods that feed music and video directly into our brains.

  • already have thought interface for paraplegics they can play vid games faster than a normal person

  • thoughtful, except for the fact that you think paraplegics aren't normal people

  • i love the ending :D

  • this will be great for my mate, sadly hes blind in one eye :(

  • ExilLarkdanx

    backfire how?

  • Its about time!

  • damn, when i get blind let me have one of em babies

  • i might as well go blind right now ;)

  • id wait til they can actually make it work :P

  • Fantastic!

  • Awesome!

  • very cool

  • This is just amazing!

  • I'd like to have seen a demo of the pictures a rounded digital lens can produce
